About Enrique
My name's Enrique, and my total experience playing TTRPGs is being what's called the forever DM (Dungeon Master) for almost all the groups I've played with dating back to mainly the quarantine in 2020. But even before then, my interest for D&D was always there, as my love for the fantasy and sci-fi worlds I grew up with such as (but not limited to) Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and Final Fantasy. I feel confident in my DM'ing but as I've learned over the years there's still much more to learn; I find that's the beauty in an evolving game with an expanded multiverse such as D&D.

I got started GMing...
During the Covid-19 Pandemic! We were all bored being on our computers graduating from highschool, we all needed something to do. My interest in D&D was growing at the time, while my friends and I had experience playing as PCs and so I stepped up for all of us.
My favorite shows/movies are
The Lord of The Rings, Star Wars, Naruto Shippuden
When I'm not running games I'm...
Playing videogames when I'm off work. Stories from the games I play always give me inspiration for an encounter or for the world I've been writing for years now. I'm always working on building it whenever I get an idea.
How Enrique runs games
The way I DM can certainly be described as "free." While I have my goals to tell a story and have fun while doing so, my biggest goal is to provide a fun and engaging sandbox for all of my players where they really feel like only their imagination is the limit. I understand that rules are rules and I, the DM, prefer to let players have fun and do whatever flashy/creative choices they want to make. If the rules prohibit the player to having fun, then it isn't worth following it. Roleplay plays heavy into my games, but that's not to say that voices/accents and directly accurate choices are required. You're allowed to express your thoughts and imagination however you'd like. I believe combat is the main attraction to D&D. So with that in mind, I expect combat when I'm running it to be right up to what's expected. Epic, tense, emotional, and satisfying. Players should be able to feel how powerful their character gets and how far they've grown since the first session of the campaign. Combat ruled by me will have it's share of dangerous difficulty, but I aim for it to not feel unfair especially to a newer player who's just learning how to navigate their sheet under pressure.
