About Joe aka. JFinkz
Hello, My name is Joe or JFinkz or DM Finkz, I have been creating games for as long as I can remember, this passion for creation and games brought me to D&D and other RPGs throughout my youth, which is probably why I enjoy TTRPGs so much, there is a creative process in storytelling and homebrewing worlds and games that continues to drive this passion. I enjoy playing all sorts of TTRPGs, and when not playing, watching or listening to other actual plays of all game systems. I feel there is always some inspiration that can be found, whether it is something I bring to a game as a GM or as a player. I have been GMing TTRPG games for about 8 years now, mainly D&D, but also Pathfinder 2e, Daggerheart, Ironsworn, and I enjoy exploring new game systems. I enjoy story driven table top experiences where the GM and players all take part in crafting the story we are telling and making use of the systems we're using to help frame these tales. Additionally I make use of VTTs, maps, ambiance, music, sound effects, and safety tools to make the games we play more immersive and enjoyable by all.

Joe aka. JFinkz's ideal table
I like to run tables that are willing and open to explore story telling, who don't shy away from a challenge, and like to discover and craft characters and worlds together. I have run campaigns where characters are good, evil, and otherwise neutral to those in their world, but their world is always living, growing, and evolving around them. For campaigns, even modules I often add my own unique twists and turns to them, and like to keep them open world, sandbox style but with objectives, if you choose to take many in game months to complete that objective, maybe a young dragon has become an adult, and has destroyed more of the land, maybe some allies are no longer so keen to you, so expect your decision to have consequences. I as a DM like to think of the table as a space we share to tell stories and have fun, be creative, and if rules questions come up that take too much time to mitigate, I like to ask the table broadly what they think, as what benefits the party may also benefit the enemies. I am a huge fan of third-party and homebrewed options for games people know well, but always will work with players if something feels like it breaks the intention of the game, or bogs down the table for the rest of the players there. This is everyone's time, and I feel we should respect that between eachother, I do not like having to implement "social initiative" as this to me makes the game feel overly controlled, and as such have helped several work to self-moderate themselves and involve everyone. I greatly appreciate people willing to give and take feedback, especially constructive feedback, and as such like to debrief and do a Stars and Wishes, as well as dislikes at the end of sessions or arcs. But if you have thoughts, don't wait, send me a private/direct message and I will respond.
