About Jasper
Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Jasper, and I enjoy playing TTRPGs and running games for others. My preferred playstyle focuses on collaborative worldbuilding, roleplaying, and developing character relationships in a dynamic world. I strive to be beginner-friendly, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming in all my games. My number one priority as a GM is making a safe space for everyone to have fun role-playing and feel as comfortable as possible doing so. A bit more about me: I began playing TTRPGs in 2020 during the pandemic. That game has been going on against all odds since then, for about 7 years now! After I joined that game, the whole world of TTRPGs opened up for me, and it's been a huge passion for me ever since. I have 3 years of experience GMing an in-person game at my local game store. I've learned a lot since then, and I really want to bring my games into online spaces. I'm also working towards one day playing in or running an actual play podcast or stream. How Jasper runs games
What you can expect from me as a GM is collaborative storytelling, immersive world building, and player support in all aspects of the game. My playstyle is focused on collaborative worldbuilding, roleplaying, and developing character relationships in a dynamic world. My goal in all my tables is to cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment. I also strive to a foster diverse community in gaming spaces where everyone has an equal voice. I do this first by offering a free session 0, so that we can all go over safety tools (i.e. lines/veils, X card, check-ins and rose, buds, thorns) and tone of game without worrying about committing monetarily to a situation if it turns out that something feels off. Secondly, I have all players fill out a consent sheet which gives me an idea of what the players do and do not want to see in the game. I also explain that my number one priority as a Game Master is to make the game safe and fun for everyone involved, and to do that I like players to communicate with me about any concerns that come up, any questions they have about the game, or things that they'd like me to implement in the story pertaining to their character. As a GM, I would never publicly call out or single out a player but instead try to resolve conflicts in the most transparent and fair way possible. Pronouns and identities of all people at the table should be respected. I am always trying to learn and grow as a GM and consider feedback from my players.
