About Zxpie
Hello, My Discord Handle is Zxpie. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I've been an on-and off-GM for many years now, with a focus on individualistic storytelling and module modification, which is a fancy way of saying I take a bunch of unrelated module adventures and cramming them together into some semblance of a cohesive story and try and take the time to customize individual B-plot stories for each and every one of my players...with some by the numbers combat thrown in for extra flavor.

I became a GM because
When I realized that no one wanted to run the games I wanted to play. So I started running them, discovered I was a storyteller, not the best, mind you, but more than good enough to keep going. So years later, I started doing this for pocket chains and pizza money.
I got started GMing...
When I high school, much like most Gen Xer's, I cut my teeth on Vampire The Masquerade, Larping, then eventually moved over to more serious games like Dnd 3.0, 3.5, Pathfinder, Champions, Aberrant, Wyld Talents, Fate, Exalted, Exalted 3E, and dozens more. Today I run Dnd 5e.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Innovative , inclusive, witty
How Zxpie runs games
I like me some role-playing and I like me some combat, but most important of all, I like me some fun. If people are not having fun, then there's no point to any of this.

I deal with rules issues by...
Looking them up and then deciding if following said rule will make the game more fun or less fun. If less fun, then I ignore it.
My games focus on...
Everyone having fun, feeling safe, and getting a chance to play out their fantasy and adventures with their feed.
Rules are...
there to help facilitate fun. But when they interfere with fun, then they have no place in my game. That's it. That's all. I try to stick to rules as written as much as possible, try to stick to canon as much as possible, but if either interferes with player and GM Fun....then we just don't use them
Zxpie's ideal table
We play games to have fun, if fun is not being had, then there's no point to playing.

I am for a vibe that's...
Fun. We can go serious. We can go Hard. Or we can go wacky! We can go Romance (if you're into it), but however we go. Everybody needs to have fun. If Fun is not being had, then there is no point in playing. I want everyone to feel safe and secure, and comfortable enough to relax and have fun.
I think metagaming...
It's fine, but it takes away from the enjoyment of the game, so I prefer players keep it to themselves. And play like they have no idea what's coming next.
I think min/maxing...
That's fine, as long as it doesn't take the fun out of the game or the other player's enjoyment.
