About Christian
Heyo, I'm Christian, and I've DM'd 2014 D&D 5e for the better part of 6 years. My experience with D&D as a whole goes beyond that, as I've mingled with westmarches, oneshots, and joined other small-term campaigns as a player, totaling around 9 years of D&D experience. I love storytelling and allowing my players to explore character themes, vast fantastical worlds, and just fantasy as a medium in general. Hopefully, of course, while having a laugh and rolling some dice in the interim. My DM'ing style focuses mostly on what feels natural and right at the time, trying to maintain a good balance of roleplay and combat to keep the players engaged and as though their time has not been wasted. With this new edition being out for 5e, I've been itching for a chance to get back into the swing of DM'ing, and I hope to explore more worlds with other awesome, like-minded individuals.

I became a GM because
I loved telling stories, seeing people enjoy time spent together, and I had a rather unfortunate experience as a first-time player. I vowed that I would try to be a force that is both welcoming and encouraging to new and experienced players alike.
I got started GMing...
Back in 2019, around 7 years ago if you can believe it(Damn, I feel old). It was my first time discovering how to run a game, and after getting a ton of inspiration from my favorite content creators, Critical Role, I knew I had to stick with it and give it a shot.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Gaming, watching movies, and creating a portfolio of game development projects.
How Christian runs games
My style of GM'ing usually consists of what feels natural, fair, and right. If players are getting the itch for high-stakes tactical combat where they could put their optimized characters, items, and abilities to the test, then I'd love to run that. If players are getting more of a taste for intrigue, multi-layered NPCs, and deep mysteries, I'd love to run that. If players want a more relaxed and cozy session filled with more exploration, hijinks, and loot goblining, then I'd love to run that as well. The main thing that made me fall in love with fantasy and D&D is that the possibilities are truly endless, and you can present things in an infinite number of ways.

I deal with rules issues by...
Taking at most 2 minutes to try and look up the ruling. If we cannot reach a consensus by then, my ruling(if it's not game-breaking) will more often than not favor the players, and we continue
My games focus on...
Whatever feels natural at the time. Combat, exploration, and roleplay are simply PARTS of what make a game of D&D engaging. When working together, they create awesome stories and experiences.
Rules are...
Guidelines, often bent to offer enhanced experiences to the players/DM's
Christian's ideal table
Players who are open-minded, welcoming, and overall down to earth will fit perfectly at my table. Bonus inspiration dice/points guaranteed to those who aid their fellow players who may be new to character creation and backstory creation, as well as enabling them to roleplay and create opportunities to become immersed.

I love it when a player
Enables another newer player, does something super unexpected(that doesn't aggravate or piss off others), or makes others laugh.
My perfect party mix is
A mixture of experienced and newer players working together, having a blast, laughing, rolling dice, and becoming immersed, if only for a little while.
My table is not the place for...
Bigotry, Racism, Sexism, homophobia, etc. Though it becomes difficult, I like to assume the best in people, and because we are all adults(Who are usually meeting others for the first time ever), we should be cognizant and more than able to create a space where everybody can be themselves.
