About Fendrel
As a long-time GM, I've learned that the best games start by creating a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and excited to play. I've run games for complete beginners, longtime veterans, all-women groups, and mixed tables, and I make sure every player has opportunities to contribute and has moments to shine. Many of my groups continue for years, turning complete strangers into good friends. I love character-driven adventures where your choices shape the story, your backstory matters, and the best moments are the ones none of us could have planned. My job isn't to tell MY story--it's to help us create OUR story together.

How Fendrel runs games
My natural habitat is comedic high fantasy (think Monty Python meets The Lord of the Rings). Expect colorful characters, absurd situations treated with complete seriousness, heroic action, and plenty of opportunities to laugh. That said, comedy never means the story cannot matter. I’m equally comfortable slowing things down for somber scenes, heartfelt character moments, difficult choices, and the occasional emotional gut punch. I love roleplay and tactical encounters in equal measure, and I adjust that balance around each group's interest. Whether your party wants to spend an evening negotiating with a wacky NPC or charging into a battle, I want the session to focus on what excites the table. I’m very much a "rule of cool" GM. Creative ideas are encouraged, dramatic risks are rewarded, and player enjoyment matters more to me than obscure rules minutiae. Come ready to collaborate, take chances, cheer for your fellow players, and occasionally become emotionally invested in an NPC who was invented thirty seconds ago.
