About Cammi

Hail and well met! I'm Cammi—a storyteller, writer, and nationally awarded public speaker. I've been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 2018 and have spent years running both published adventures and homebrew campaigns in the D&D 5e system. Whether I'm guiding heroes through epic battles, political intrigue, magical mysteries, or character-driven role play, my goal is always to create a welcoming table where every player gets a chance to shine. I believe that there is a unique style of storytelling that only TTRPGs can offer. When we immerse ourselves in a story, adopting the motivations, hopes, and fears of our characters, we learn something new about ourselves and the world around us. New to D&D? When I'm not running games I'm...

usually either learning about teeth as a dental student or writing my book! I also love cooking, gardening, puzzles, spending time outdoors hiking or kayaking, and hanging out with my dog, Murphy, a Cocker Spaniel/Brittany mix who may occasionally make a guest appearance during our games!

How Cammi runs games

I believe that a great D&D game has three essential elements: collaborative storytelling through roleplay, exciting and challenging combat, and fun! Every table is different, so I work closely with my players to establish expectations for tone, themes, pacing, and the kind of story we want to tell together. Whether we're exploring a whimsical fantasy world, unraveling a mystery, navigating political intrigue, or surviving a hair-raising horror, my goal is to create a memorable and immersive experience. I design encounters that reward creativity, teamwork, and clever thinking. I want my players to feel challenged, but I also want them to experience those unforgettable moments where a risky plan works, a character overcomes a personal struggle, or the party accomplishes something they weren't sure they could achieve. At the end of every session, I want you to walk away feeling like you can't wait for next week. I’m excited to meet you soon!

I encourage immersive role playing and party collaboration. Players should feel like their backstory is real within the world, and I work to ensure you get that experience. At my table, you can expect humor, fun, mystery, and true stakes for your characters. The choices you make matter (for better or worse). If you are a player who loves rich and intricate stories, meaningful combat encounters, and various silly accents, I'm the DM for you!
