About Alise
I have been playing for over 7 years and DMing for about 6. I also stream on Twitch some of my games! I like to use FoundryVTT and enjoy D&D 5e (2014). I've also started running a Pokemon5e game in the Hoenn region (started in 2025) that is going well! I've also dipped my toe, once, into Paranoia and am interested in trying that again in the future.

How Alise runs games
I like games that revolve around the rule of fun. Roleplay with some combat and creative solutions to fun, challenging combat and puzzling puzzles. In simpler words: I like to focus on story and roleplay with some combat sprinkled throughout. I like to give my players freedom to try anything they think of, no matter how wild. As long as it's feasible, we'll roll for it! I like my players to help build and craft their experience as much as I do. Here is a world I have, now go out and explore it!

I once ran a session...
that was meant to go to a circus to engage with the various events and a dungeon within. However, I had a party say 'nah, we don't wanna go-to that circus' so they went into town and had a totally different story unfold. Lots of improvised fun!
Rules are...
guidelines that make the game fun! Sometimes stretching them can be more fun, but only if consistently stretched and everyone is on board. I do my best to follow them, but the master rule is to have fun! :)

My table is open and accepting of people for who they are. Everyone should come with a desire to have fun and explore and build a story together. Should be safe and engaging and fun! My main focus is story building, fun, and engagement for my players!

I think min/maxing...
can be fun! It can be overly focused on, but it creates challenging interactions for me as a DM. I don't min/max myself so my approach might be different from those who do! As long as everyone has fun with it, I don't mind any of it.
