About Gavin

Hiya! I am Gavin, I have been playing ttrpgs for a long time, and I have been DM'ing for around ten years. I have fully finished two full five year long homebrew campaigns, and numerous one shots and absolutely love telling stories and sharing joy with others. I am more than willing to teach a new player and more than willing to learn a new system as needed! I have a breadth of skills and a wandering hyperfixation on life that should let me follow your joy as a player. All in all, I would just love to meet you and lets tell a story, hey!

How Gavin runs games

I have spoken with my players about what my GM style is and I have come to the conclusion that while I love every component of collaborative storytelling that TTRPG can facilitate, I find joy in creating narrative personal stakes through as much roleplay as you can handle, which crescendo into epic large combats with homebrew bosses that fit various themes. I love playing vibrant and important NPCs, and I just love making custom magic items and powers that let my players do cool things to absolutely wreck my day. Expect jokes, but expect me to punch you in the gut emotionally when you are not expecting it. I like to craft a whimsical and funny world where serious things absolutely take place. Above all, as I have said, my style is to follow the player's joy since I love all aspects of this position and love a challenge in crafting something catered to everyone's specific tastes!

Anyone looking to tell a story is welcome, as long as you're willing to be at the whims of the dice. I expect being able to follow the tone that we have set out to create, and always welcome roleplay opportunities! Keep it light until the game needs drama.
