About Abaddon
Hello! I’m a huge nerd and a TTRPG enthusiast with around 12 years of experience as a GM. Over the years, I’ve played and run a wide variety of systems, developing a particular passion for simulationist games, science fiction, horror and cybepunk. More generally, though, what I look for in games is consistency: I like worlds that have rules, where things make sense, and where the different elements of the story fit together. I like depth in everything. I want games to leave a mark, for decisions to have weight, and for something to have genuinely happened by the end of a session that was worth experiencing. I've played and run many different systems and genres, but I tend to gravitate towards games with deep worldbuilding, interesting mechanics, and worlds that feel like they exist beyond the players. And I'm pretty funny too, maybe (I hope)

I started running games because...
I’ve always felt like I was meant to be a GM. My first experience with TTRPGs was as a player, but even then I already had a strong desire to tell stories, create worlds, and share them with others. That desire is ultimately what made me become a GM.
How Abaddon runs games
NO FORCED RAILROADING! I prepare the world, its people, factions, and the problems that affect them, but I don't prepare a story that you are expected to follow. The world reacts to what you do, NPCs have their own goals, and situations continue to evolve even when you aren't the ones driving them. I like real choices: situations where there is no obviously right answer, where every option has a cost, and you have to decide what you're willing to lose. I also enjoy putting players in extremely complex situations and seeing them figure out not only what to do, but how to get out of them. I won't take you from A to B along a story I've already written. I'll give you a world, problems, and the tools to deal with them, and then we'll see what you manage to do with them. I also enjoy games with meaningful mechanics and a fair amount of crunch, especially when the rules create interesting choices rather than existing just for the sake of complexity. On average, if you're the kind of player who expects to play a barbarian, rage, and charge straight in, you will probably die very quickly in my campaigns.
Abaddon's ideal table
I'd like a table of people who think first. You don't need to be an experienced TTRPG player; in fact, I love having newcomers who are eager to learn and genuinely enthusiastic. You don't need to know every rule or show up with ten pages of backstory. What matters to me is having curious players who want to understand the world they're in, take initiative, and see what happens when they make choices. That said, this doesn't mean we have to be serious all the time. TTRPGs are supposed to be fun. I love jokes, stupid ideas, unexpected moments, and players who can laugh at themselves. I want an immersive game, not a solemn one. I'd like to play with people who genuinely want to immerse themselves in a story, think about their decisions, and take what happens to their character seriously. I'm not interested in characters being machines to optimize or builds to min-max. If your character is primarily a collection of numbers that you want to push as high as possible, we're probably not going to be a good fit. If, instead, you want to step into a world, understand it, test it, and see what happens when you make difficult choices, then I think we'll have a great time.
