I became a GM because
I love to tell unforgettable stories and make the world a better place even if it's just in people's minds.
My favorite books are
The wandering inn, the kingkiller chronicles, elantris (Brandon Sanderson)
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Benevolent, charming, handsome (please don't kill our Characters!) *not to self, remove that last part*
How Scott runs games
My strengths are by far NPC realism and storyline flexibility. From the four armed mute artificer shopkeeper to the crazed soup chef, all the people the characters meet will make the world feel alive and that they are talking to real fantastical people. I run oneshots style games where you can show up with friends, play and escape for an afternoon similar to an escape room.

I deal with rules issues by...
My default decisions are based on reality. As a trained swordsman and appreciator of hard magic systems I always default to realistic rules and then go from there. If I make a wrong choice I always make sure to make it up later on in the session.
Rules are...
A bobsled track, you can do a lot within the rules but sometimes you just gotta make a super cool jump to have an unforgettable time.
When it comes to voices
I love doing all kinds of voices and truly become my characters. So many times I've completely thrown away a preplanned story because the NPC found a better story when they talked with the characters.
Scott's ideal table
People who are having fun. The second someone doesn't have fun the game no longer becomes fun for me and it's not worth playing. You tell me how you have fun and I'll be sure to do my best to oblige.

I think it's a red flag when players...
Ruin the fun of others. I don't care what your character is or what they do, the hard line is ruining the game for others.
I think min/maxing...
Is completely fine so long as you don't ruin the fun for other players. I know enough about the systems I run that I can put up a good challenge to anyone no matter how effective your character is, or make the game easier in the spur of the moment if you make a mistake in your character creation.
My perfect party mix is
Whatever they party wants to be. I am experienced enough to adjust the game to any missing traditional roles- no healer, adding healing potions, no frontline fighters- going to have battles on ships where it's hard to get within melee, ect.
