About me

Hi there! I'm a DM who has run over a hundred games, and I've been DM'ing professionally now for about a year with State of Play NYC. My games are set in richly developed worlds, with a heavy emphasis on Narrative and cool characters. If you want to play as a character who actually gets to see their backstory matter, or just want to embark on an epic tale, I might be your guy! I'm well versed in 5E, and I'm willing to learn pretty much any adventure module that 5E has put out so far!

GM style

My GM style is more heavily focused on roleplay encounters, and world exploration. My games take place in richly developed worlds, and I work with players beforehand to help them create a character that fits into the environment. I run games with wide open worlds. Any location you can see on my adventure maps can be traveled to, and they all have their own stories, quest hooks, and dozens of interesting NPC's to meet. I am an actor and writer, and I use colorful voices and performances to bring my NPC's to life, giving them all memorable personalities and well-kept secrets. My games are rarely power fantasies--you may have to struggle to survive at times--but I enjoy telling stories in which a band of scrappy heroes prevail against sometimes overwhelming odds. I always hold a free 'session zero' in order to introduce myself to potential players and discuss character building. I absolutely love working with newcomers to DnD, and for dozens of players both young and old, I have been their first DM. Come on in and give it a try!
