About the adventure
Welcome to 'The Magical Goose Chase' a one of a kind Dungeons and Dragons 5e experience designed for new players to learn the game and mechanics as they embark on a wild adventure that never plays the same way twice. The party starts at first level when they are recruited by an ancient dragon to help him recover his prize possesion which has gotten away - a goose. The party must go on a literal wild goose chase as they try to chase down and capture the goose across a magical world comprised of fantastical terrains where they will encounter dire threats, dangerous traps, and mind boggling characters.

How to prepare
Players will need to be prepared to play by having created a level 1 character on D&D Beyond. Players will need discord, a webcam and mic (or just mic if not comfortable with video chat). Players will need dice or the ability to roll dice on their computer. Players do not need to know the rules ahead of time.
What I provide
This adventure is done entirely as theater of the mind with the occasional supplement that I can upload through discord (like pictures of monsters). I will have dice and rulebooks with me to run the game.
Gameplay details
Players can expect a fun learn-to-play style session with encounters that start basic and slowly become more advanced. Players will start at level 1 and will level up during the session (which is why I request we use D&D Beyond during this game).

How will character creation work
Players should have a level 1 character created using D&D Beyond before the start of the first session. Characters can be created using any official WotC D&D Beyond content. No Unearthed Arcana (UA) materials. All characters should be built using base array for stats. Characters will level during the session so please have an idea of any leveling choices you might need to make for the first five levels.
