About Elias

I am an entertainer at heart, whether that is on a stage, in a band or with you at the table. The games that I run build on my history as a musician, actor, designer and engineer. I love building systems that encourage creativity of both myself and my players. Layer by layer, I build complex living worlds full to the brim with adventure and mystery for players to explore and enjoy. I write and run games for people. Every person that joins one of my games is a unique contributor that brings something special. My goal as a GM is to help you, the player, play the game you want to play. To enjoy playing a character that speaks to you.

I became a GM because

I've been doing this for 13 years, which is either dedication or a problem I should probably address. Turns out watching players navigate the chaos their own choices created is peak entertainment.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Imaginative, Accommodating, Exciting

How Elias runs games

Player-driven campaigns with emergent stories are my bread and butter. I prep scenarios with multiple solutions, but how you approach them? That's on you. Plans go sideways - not because I'm sabotaging you, but because the world responds to your actions. Rob that merchant convoy and guards get called. Befriend the cultists and they'll help you later. Everything has lasting consequences. Expect complications, creative problem-solving, and consequences that spiral in unexpected directions. That's where the best stories come from. Table vibe is relaxed despite the stakes - we're here to have fun and see what chaos emerges. Rule of Cool over rules lawyering. Creative solutions get rewarded. I love implementing custom gameplay options tailored to your character ideas. Have a great idea of what you want your character to do? I want to help you bring it to life.

I deal with rules issues by...

Ruling in the moment, research between sessions. I'm not stopping gameplay to look up obscure mechanics - we'll make a call that keeps the story moving, then I'll verify it for next time if needed. Your turn doesn't get derailed by a 10-minute rules debate.

My games focus on...

Campaign-to-campaign continuity where your choices stick. The world remembers what you did, and so do the other parties playing in it. Your heist creates consequences you'll see sessions later. Your alliances matter. Your enemies remember. No reset button.

Elias's ideal table

I run with garage game energy - casual, welcoming, where weird ideas get celebrated and strangers become your crew. With inside jokes, collaborative chaos, and a way of making it all fit together in one story. This is the place to be if you want a game that you can just vibe in, no insane powerscaling or tight woven plot with no wiggle room. The fiction is not sacred, so my players can change things up when they feel like. Sometimes, you aren't vibing with a class and you need a shakeup. My tables are life safe - meaning that if you have to miss a session, or are going to be a little late sometimes, you are still welcome here. It doesn't matter what your life looks like when a game starts, life is full of unexpected changes.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table

Getting to try things that don't seem like you would try in any other game. Having a wide open opportunity and you get to decide how to resolve it.

I love it when a player

The more specific and weird your character goal, the better. 'I want to be strong' is boring. 'I want to steal my father's ship and become a more successful pirate than he ever was'? Now we're talking. Give me something to work with and I'll weave it into the campaign.
