How to prepare

A Discord account for Audio and Camera, while Roll20 will be used for music and Gameplay. A webcam and working microphone, and headphones to prevent feedback. A familiarity with Roll 20 mechanics would be ideal. An understanding of at least the basic rules of D&D 5e. See link below: https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrules

What I provide

I bring years of improv, voice acting and acting experience. This, combined with a belief of clear story telling, will create an immersive world that focusses on character interplay as much as it does combat and strategy! Battle maps will be a mixture of official maps, third party maps and maps I have created myself.

Gameplay details

While Barovia will have its fair share of Zaney individuals (It is D&D afterall!) the main theme of the adventure is Gothic Horror. Players should expect high levels of Role Play and Character work throughout the game, with levels of risk to their Characters from the horrors which call this place home. Once you sign up to play, I'll message you personally and begin sending you information about the Lines and Veils document, and how to get set up on the game server! I believe in an open and honest transparency policy. Please, never hesitate to speak to me before or after a game regarding any concerns either in game or out.

How will character creation work

Once you have signed up, we will communicate back and forth to help build a character that fits the story and the world. This can be via message, or ideally a brief one to one "session 0". You will have the choice between Point Buy and Rolling Stats together on Roll20, a link to which will be provided once you have joined the game.
