How to prepare

Please have a DND Beyond, Forge (https://forge-vtt.com/signup), and Zoom account. *All Free* A working microphone is a must. A working camera is preferred, but not required. Digital Dice, Tokens, and Gaming Materials will be provided digitally. Please make sure to include a picture on your DND Beyond character sheet to be used as a token during the session. Accompanied by the Google Chrome Plugin "Beyond20" and an importer for Foundry VTT, players can utilize their preferred methods seamlessly. Zoom: I utilize Zoom for video conferencing during our sessions, providing a platform for voice interaction and real-time communication. This allows for enhanced engagement and collaboration among players, further immersing them in the game world. Discord: A supplementary tool for communication between sessions. It provides a platform for players to ask questions, share resources, and engage in discussions related to the game. Additionally, I use Discord for sharing updates and fostering a sense of community among players. Expectations: Players can expect a collaborative storytelling experience where their characters' actions have meaningful impact. I foster open communication and feedback to ensure everyone feels engaged and invested in our shared adventure. Gameplay details

Google Drive: My go-to for organizing D&D campaigns. I use a shared document for character backstories and a Google Survey for character creation, session 0 discussions, house rules, and Lines and Veils. It streamlines communication and ensures everyone's on the same page. Session 0: We'll work together to seamlessly integrate your character into the overarching narrative, ensuring they have a meaningful role alongside fellow adventurers. While crafting your character's backstory will be our main focus, we'll also take the time to review a checklist of house rules and game preferences to tailor the experience to your liking. Lines and Veils: This is a tool used to establish boundaries and ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable during the game. "Lines" are topics or themes that players agree should not be included in the game at all, such as graphic violence or sexual assault. These are firm boundaries that everyone respects. "Veils," on the other hand, are topics that can be included but should be handled with care and sensitivity, such as romantic relationships or certain types of trauma. While these subjects may come up in the game, they are typically not described in explicit detail. Stars and Wishes: A feedback tool used in tabletop role-playing games like D&D. "Stars" highlight positive aspects of the game, while "Wishes" express constructive suggestions for improvement. It encourages open communication and helps players celebrate memorable moments while providing valuable feedback for future gameplay. Breaks: I include a 10 - 15 minute break at the halfway point of our sessions for the player and DM's convenience.

I offer a complimentary Session Zero and request that you have your character prepared as much as possible beforehand to expedite our journey into the adventure!
