About the adventure

Perhaps you are wanted for a crime you committed or were wrongfully accused of, maybe links to your past or old memories haunt you with every step you take, or you are simply down to your very last copper and can think of no way to earn the fortune you so deserve. It's clear that this world, this old world, has failed you. There is one last card you can play. There is a new land out there, a new continent known as Terraverde that has only been known to the rest of the civilized world for a single century. Countless expeditions were financed and mounted, yet few came back, all of them with terrifying tales of an untamed land that refused to submit. Slowly, over time, settlements begun to rise. Castles were erected, trade routes established, and standing armies rose to claim their piece of land. That's how the new country of Freeblood was born. A land with opportunity, fresh beginnings, and yet lurking with so many dangers and riches still. And with a hidden evil beyond ancient that has been slumbering the years away... until now. --------------------------------------------------------------- In this long-term campaign, the focus will be on the new continent, but that doesn't mean the old world doesn't exist. Each player will be helped in creating the basis of their own nation through a few simple questions. Expect to find fellow brothers and sisters, whether friendly or hostile, trying their best to both survive and thrive. At this point in time, Freeblood and Terraverde manage to coexist together, but only just. Villages, cities, and towns might be found on every stretch of the continent, yet the land remains savage enough that caravans only dare venture through well-protected routes and entire armies marching through the wilds might be lost to diseases, beasts, and countless other dangers. At the same time, this means that it's not unheard of a valiant few who made their fortune after finding untouched ruins. Even after all these years, the land is still ripe with opportunity and riches. One only needs to know when to raise, fold... or go all in.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Webcam will not be necessary, but microphone is a must. Players will be provided with all the materials necessary to learn the rules and system. It's not necessary to read everything, but at least a rough understanding of the combat and class system will be required for session 0. No physical items needed due to the virtual nature of the game. Additionally, while the game will focus entirely in the new continent, players have the possibility to change the old world with their backstories which will be built alongside the GM. Perhaps your halfling was born in a city-state known for its vast riches? Your champion is member of an order which rules a vast kingdom alongside a king blessed by a deity? Players are encouraged to come up with elements of the old world that may or not affect the new.

What I provide

Modules for combat visuals with explosions, wrecks, and fires, macros for ease of play, hand-picked music, and custom maps made by myself through Dungeondraft.
