Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi there, I'm Chris, but I'm often better by my username, yousodumb. With more than 15 years of experience in playing TTRPGs, I have successfully led over five games to completion. My expertise spans from homebrew to modules, and everything in between. What sets me apart is my ability to balance narrative and mechanical play, seamlessly mixing detailed narration with mechanical challenges. I have extensive knowledge of Pathfinder First Edition and Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition, as well as competence in various other systems, including Pathfinder Second Edition. Additionally, I'm passionate about out-of-game puzzles, such as cyphers and codes, which I love to incorporate into my games to challenge and engage players. **Note for direct messages and last minute signups**: my job is very strict about phone usage, and I might not see your message until about 30 minutes before one of my scheduled games.

Creating your character
We will be using 20-point point buy for balanced character creation, the elephant in the room feat tax rules, background skills and join the party at level 10. Characters begin play with gold to buy equipment according to the wealth by level guide, 62,000 gp at this time. Any Core, featured, or uncommon race is on the table (with the purely aquatic races excluded), and all classes with the exception of the regular summoner and vampire hunter are allowed. You get one trait of your choice, a campaign trait, and one racial trait. You can get an additional trait by taking a flaw, additionally you can swap out either a racial or campaign trait for another type of trait with my approval. Also, you get a racial feat at first level as a bonus feat. No third-party or homebrew stuff.
This is a game in progress, we'll discuss integrating on your first session.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A vague character concept should be made by session zero with at least one backup for balance sake. A functional microphone, discord account, and ability to access the foundry server are required. A rough character level plan to level 16 should be considered but not required.
What Yousodumb brings to the table
Appropriate voices will be supplied for NPC's, foundry server and discord will be maintained by me. I will be available for off-session discussion as I am available.

How Yousodumb creates a safe table
Players should expect a by-the-book style game with minor adjustments for my sanity. As Pathfinder 1e is intensely rules-heavy, party balance and an understanding of how your character functions is paramount. An X card module is installed on the foundry server for whenever it is needed. Breaks are available on request and will be occasionally be imposed as needed on my end. A brief interview to review your character concept and ensure you will fit well with the existing group will take place at an agreed time after you sign up.
