About the adventure
Hope's Last Day tells the story of the terrifying final hours of Hadley's Hope from James Cameron's seminal sci-fi masterpiece; ALIENS, taking place before Ripley and the Colonial Marines arrive on LV-426 in that movie. Written for 3-5 players, Hope's Last Day is an official introductory scenario designed to introduce players to the game as well as be a thrilling cinematic experience set in the classic Sci-Fi Horror universe. The game might take a second session to complete depending on time/availability of players. IMPORTANT: This is a horror game which will feature graphic descriptions of violence and gore, foul language, tense/suspenseful scenarios, and potential jump-scares.
Additional Details
How to prepare
Players will need access to 6-sided dice in two seperate/distinct colours. Players will be rolling between 2 and 10 of each of these coloured dice at the same time depending on the situation. Players will be expected to read and understand a short bio for their character before play starts.
What I provide
Players will be provided with pre-generated character sheets. Players will be provided with details of equipment, weapons etc. Maps will be provided on OwlbearRodeo, this is a FREE web-browser based tool. An access code will be sent for players to access maps.
Gameplay details
A detailed briefing on tone and expectations will be held at the beginning of the session, followed by a debrief at the end. Combat in the game is fast and rules-light and, along with all other rules, will be learned in-play as they come up. As the GM I will be heavily roleplaying characters, players are free to approach this at their own comfort level.
