How Your GM Chandler runs games
Safety is paramount at my table. I pride myself on being a Safe GM and welcome lapse players who want to have a good time without being harassed in any way. My gaming sessions are a blend of sleuthing, adrenaline, and role play. I'm all about the thrills of horror and the enigma of a mystery. Nothing brings me joy like a player diving into a role and facing perilous showdowns. I set the scene with rich descriptions and let the players take the wheel from there. I'm keen on giving players the reins of the story, making them co-authors of our adventure, and I favor game systems that boost this collaborative spirit.

thinking about my player's characters and their capabilities|goals|issues, the NPCs in the world, and ensuring a good balance of mystery, roleplaying and action.
Rules are...
important in some games and situations and not in others. Generally, I prefer Rules as Written or RAW, but I'm not going to stop the game for 20min to ensure something is totally accurate.
When it comes to voices
I use them when the moment calls for it, but not for every single NPC.
Your GM Chandler's ideal table
People show up on time or communicate their conflicts ahead of time. We all share the spotlight because we've gotten to get to know one another a little bit as people and we genuinely enjoy listening and watching as much as talking and rolling. We're playing for those moments of hilarity and soaking in the moments of danger, action, and terror. We love unraveling a good mystery.

drops a hilarious phrase that perfectly captures the moment in a funny way or lands a famous quote that is completely in sync with what's happening in the game.
I think min/maxing...
is fine in preparation and character design, but I'm not enthusiastic about talking about stats during the game. That totally breaks the suspension of disbelief and I would rather a player say something like "I've worked my whole life to be the best at this" than "I have an 18 in Wisdom, I'll roll.
My table is not the place for...
people that talk over others or tell them how to play or don't enjoy diverse players be that in race, size, gender, preferences of any kind, brain function, you name it.
