About the adventure

You are Lancers, exceptionally skilled military mech pilots, who are tasked by your superiors to conduct an undercover investigation into reports of powerful and highly regulated artificial intelligences going missing on Havelburg, a backwater corpro owned mining planet whose surface is plagued by persistent dust storms. In order to succeed, you will have to parlay with criminals, spies, and other denizens of the planet's underbelly, engage in challenging tactical combat using your custom mech... and unravel the chilling secrets Havelburg hides along the way. Dustgrave is a published adventure module for Lancer, the mud-and-lasers tactical mech RPG by Massif Press. Please note that Lancer is a game which endorses a strong left-wing perspective. While it may not be front and center in this specific adventure, left-wing themes permeate every aspect of Lancer's setting.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Discord, a functioning mic, headphones, a COMP/CON account, and a computer will be required. Foundry VTT does not function well on mobile or on a tablet. When you sign up, you will receive a link to the discord server. I'll assign you a role once you're in, and you'll see a "#resources" channel which will provide further on-boarding documents, including a lore/campaign primer, a character creation guide, and several other relevant links. Before session 0, you'll want to budget a little bit of time to read/watch any necessary background materials, make a COMP/CON account, and poke around on it little.

What I provide

The Lancer module, and Foundry hosted on my own server. Foundry is a VTT which assists with smooth combat through automation, intuitive character tracking, exciting visual and sound effects, and excellent support for battle maps. You don't need to pay for Foundry, I have a GM license, so you'll be able to access it for free. I also have a soundtrack and soundscapes for enhanced immersion!

Gameplay details

In Session 0 we will talk about our characters, set expectations for the game, make sure we are all set up with Foundry, and, if time permits, begin the campaign. Consent checklist form is posted in the discord, and additional lines and veils may be established.

How will character creation work

We'll create our group of pilots during session 0. Have a rough idea of what kind of character and which combat role you would like to play ahead of time, but be prepared to adapt to the group! In between session 0 and session 1, you'll build your character on COMP/CON, a webapp much like DND Beyond but for Lancer. Premades are available upon request, and I'm more than happy to assist with character creation. Further details will be provided in the discord!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
