About the adventure

From the official book: The job was routine, the money fair. Then the damn company diverted you to answer a distress call from a ship that disappeared almost 80 years ago — a derelict carrying something bizarre, twisted, and alien. What the ship's frozen crew brought back with them was bad enough — what they themselves were turning into was a bloody nightmare. Add to that an annoying sensor ghost shadowing you in the void, and your stress level is shot. It's all a bit much. You don't get paid enough to deal with monsters. But hold your breath, count to three, and play your cards right with this one, and you just might walk away very rich. Oh, who am I kidding? This is a survival horror game. You are not heroes. You will probably die.

How to prepare

Have a good, not-scratchy microphone. Webcam preferred, but not required. The character sheets in Roll20 handle dice rolls, but I ask my whole party in the beginning if we're going to trust/allow off-camera rolling.

Gameplay details

This is a 2-3 session "Cinematic" campaign intended to feel like playing out a 3-act horror movie. Exploration, Roleplay, and Player Deaths are at the forefront of this game. Each character has a secret Personal Agenda they're trying to accomplish, often at the expense of the other characters (steal company secrets, kill another player, escape alone, etc). You are not badasses; almost every attempt to fight WILL result in character death, as all enemies are intentionally designed to be overpowered. This is less about winning or defeating an enemy and more about how YOUR character reacts to scenarios, how their flaws and relationships come into play. This is a game for roleplaying and surviving a horror scenario while having fun playing flawed, selfish characters. (YOU DO NOT have to be familiar with the Alien franchise to play; this is a horror scifi game for anyone who enjoys them!)

How will character creation work

All characters are premade, with numerous back up characters so all players can keep playing until the scenario is finished.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
