About the adventure

You all step out of the airlock, into Hadley's Hope. It's utterly quiet; the hum of machinery and chatter of residents is absent. Something IS here... but what? Have you heard of the Ennie-award-winning game ALIEN? Want to try something besides D&D for a change? ALIEN The Roleplaying Game is a HORROR game for up to 5 players. We'll be playing Hope's Last Day, a ONE-SHOT with PRE-MADE CHARACTERS that takes place just before the "Aliens" film. Even if you're not a fan of Alien but you're a fan of a horror, science-fiction, monsters or any of the above, this game may be for you! PLAYER DEATH IS EXPECTED; this is a difficult game where humans are vulnerable, and the enemies are sometimes intentionally overpowered. The Alien has the a 1/6 chance of an insta-kill. Hide. Run. Don't try to fight. PLAYERS CAN WIN; Players have secret personal agendas they're trying to complete while surviving the scenario, and you'll need to complete your contradicting goals while still working together to survive. You CAN survive this scenario. Possibly.

How to prepare

Just please have a microphone that is audible. You may want 6-sided dice (of 2 different colors), but roll20 has a dice roller integrated for Alien RPG.

Gameplay details

This is an exploration game. Investigations aren't done just with skillchecks, but with asking questions and thinking of the best place to go. However, exploration is tactical when enemies are involved; they have turns when you do, and you will be trying to hide from them while still progressing the plot goals. Players will also probably be making secret rolls often, since they'll have reasons for wanting to explore separate locations on account of their (secret) personal agendas.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
