About the adventure
Step beyond the veil and into Druskenvald — a mist-choked land of eternal night, twisted folk customs, and haunted rebirth. Here, the Crooked Moon leers from the sky like a witch’s grin, casting shifting shadows that swallow travellers whole. Ancient trees whisper your secrets, the wind carries mournful songs of lost souls, and every village hides rites too dreadful to name. In The Crooked Moon, you are reborn from the mists as one of Druskenvald’s uncanny folk: fiery Ashborn, tree-bodied Gnarlborn, cursed wolf-like Curseborn, skeletal Relicborn, and more. Each soul emerges with fragments of forgotten lives, ancestral debts, and a fragile grip on reality. Together, you’ll uncover eldritch mysteries, confront provincial superstitions, and weave your own dreadful folktale beneath the moon’s cold glow. This is a folk horror campaign inspired by The Witch, Midsommar, and Over the Garden Wall — stories where the land itself is alive and every ritual cuts deeper than any blade. The game leans into paranoia, tragic transformation, and moral ambiguity. Choices echo in the dark, and fate weaves its crooked patterns around you. Perfect for players who love immersive storytelling, character-driven horror, and unsettling folklore. Whether you’re a seasoned role-player eager to explore the Old Ways or a new traveller ready to lose yourself in the mists. Why join ? A great game for beginners and experienced players who want the time and space to roleplay in this folk horror setting. I will be helping guide and educate you on D n D when needed. Its a heavy RP game with lots of chance for character development and acting out your heroes, there’s still combat of course but it’s not a dungeon crawl. If you like the Critical Role style of play this is for you. I like to help my groups make friendships with each other so we can all be silly and have some fun. Hate Tech or Socially Anxious! I don’t like tech either so I’ve tried use the easiest ones available and that are free. Feeling anxious of meeting new people? You will be able chat to me before hand so you will know me before the game and I make sure all the groups are integrating and if you have a shy day sometimes that’s cool. (if you don’t understand any of the D n D words here don’t worry I will explain it)

About me
📜 Story tailored to the Party/Player's decisions (what you do matters) 🧭 Emphasis on exploration and discovering the D&D world around you 🎭 Intriguing NPC interactions and exciting social dynamics 🎨 Art work and maps specially made for your adventure 🧠 Theatre of the Mind playstyle for maximum creativity 🤗 A safe and accepting space for all players 💪 Support for new players, so everyone can join in on the fun! 🤝 Make friends with your interests as you join the group 🎲 Very easy set up on the tech side so you can play straight away Not going to lie I LOVE the Critical Role show. If you like that style of play I am probably a good fit for you. I prefer story over mechanics, and hope to see some contributions from you to make the story is more fun through role playing. There’s a heavy focus on building your characters background, personality and goals from the get go. I give time for players to socalise with each other in each game to do this. There will be monsters and fighting but also merriment and heart ache. (generally every other game we have a big fight session, while the other is exploration and socialising) I try to conform my style to whatever is best-suited to each party and their campaign. There are so many ways to enjoy this game that I find it works best to ask players a lot of questions, seek a lot of feedback, and always be prepared to adjust. And if you want see my style of play and DMing skills click on the You Tube Link to see me in action.

Creating your character
Your first session is half price . If you join for session 0 we will make the characters as a group and if joining after I will spend some time with you before the game separately making your character. You will start at level 1 (or higher depending when you join the adventure) and make your character in DND Beyond, point buy/standard array, and I will give you a link to join my campaign. No home brew is allowed, and you’re free to use any of my shared resources on D n D Beyond with 2014 and/or 2024 content to make your character and I can help guide you in the make.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I use Session Zero to address any safety concerns the game might entail, and I am always open to being messaged privately if further concerns arise.( if joining after this, all the safety notes will be posted in the discord room) I prefer to run a tight ship and keep the story moving, but the most important thing to me is that all my players are having fun. I will provide a Discord chat room for the game to be played and also a text chat room so you can talk to me or the rest of the party when you wish to. You will need the free link for Discord I send you and I use Owl Bear which you just need click to access for maps. The only registering is a free D n D beyond account to make your character (takes about 2 mins to do) Equipment needed. A computer or tablet, computer will make it easier. webcam(adds more fun but you don’t have to use) and a mic. Thinking about the race and class you like your character be would a great help pre game but not necessary. (e.g an elf wizard)
