Hey, I'm Taylore! I've been writing professionally for over a decade and have been playing TTRPGs for about five years. I am obsessed with crafting plots full of twists and turns, unforgettable NPCs, and fulfilling character arcs for everyone at my table. Creating your character
- Once you're set up in the discord, we can chat about your ideas and backstory so I can weave them into the story accordingly. I love character creation, so always happy to help with ideas and build! - After that, you'll build a level 3 PC in D&D Beyond (5/5.5e/2024 rules; standard array). - For this adventure, please avoid homebrew classes/subclasses. - You may start with class equipment + background equipment. - Take a free feat.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
As this is a PbP held on Discord, players will be charged weekly on the listed session date. After you're approved for the game, you'll receive a link to the Discord server. D&D Beyond is the only other platform you'll need.
What Below Tayble brings to the table
🖋️ Players can expect 1-2 long-form posts a day from me five days a week, plus additional back-and-forth for rolls, combat, and conversations as scenes play out. I encourage PCs to roleplay with each other as often as they like! What else to expect at my table: ✨ Heavy Roleplay: PCs and the bonds, enemies, and choices they make heavily impact the story. I'm all about treating every PC like they're the main character and creating unforgettable NPCs for them to interact with. 🎥 Theater of the Mind: Since this is a play-by-post adventure, this story will be portrayed through compelling dialogue and detailed description that make you feel like you've fallen straight into the world at hand. Happy to supply reference maps on a case-by-case basis (certain combat scenarios, specific settings, etc.) 🌀 Rule of Cool Creativity and fun are top priority at my table, which means I'm big on RoC. Out-of-the-box ideas are supported and encouraged. I follow the rules more closely when it comes to combat. On that note... 🗡️ Light Combat You won't find any rat grinding here. That said, you can expect the combat that does arise to matter: they change the stakes, can set the stage for character development, and/or impact the plot in meaningful ways. 🌈 LGBTQ+ Friendly Come on down, the vibes are good here. 🖊 AI-Free Storytelling Just custom content and NPCs conjured by a professional writer of over a decade. ❤️🔥 18+ Content 18+ themes will be woven into the story at large, and there will be potential for romance and spicy RP with NPCs and other PCs to their comfort level (which will be established before the game begins and can be revised at any time.)
