About the adventure

A mysterious fever has been spreading between the citizens living inside of the Convent of the Hallowed Order, the only habitable building left in Hallows Pass. Those affected seem a little lethargic at first but they quickly are overcome by the illness. Muttering to themselves and acting strangely before losing all control and running off into the unprotected woods. You know in your heart that if you can't stop the spread you will need to leave Hallows Pass. Any citizen still untouched by the fever should flee or they risk losing the entire village to the sickness. The only obvious option would be to travel to Daventhos, the next village over. "If they'd even have us". The thought crosses your mind. "Unlikely once they learned of the fever." The journey is almost guaranteed death anyway but so is staying. What is a hero to do? CONTENT WARNING: This game will include gore and graphic descriptions including body horror. ABOUT THE SETTING: This setting is found in the core rulebook for Daggerheart. A century has passed since the God-King Othedias betrayed the Pantheon, provoking divine punishment and abandonment by the gods that left the realm of the Halcyon Domain shattered, desolate, and eternally cursed. Throughout this shadow-choked land of decaying fortresses and dreadful monstrosities, surviving communities cling to hope in the face of lightless oblivion. In an Age of Umbra game, you’ll play heroic survivors who protect their community from the terrors beyond their walls, venture out into the unknown to hunt the nightmares that twist and grow with each fallen soul, seek answers to the curses that corrupt this world, and perhaps even discover a way to change its fate. About me

Hi! I'm a lifelong storyteller with 20+ years of experience as a creative. My adventures so far have taken me through the worlds of theater, improv, fiction writing, and daydreaming. Now I have turned my hand to worldbuilding for TTRPGs. I always strive to make sure your PCs are at the heart of the story - so if you are a player that loves a character with a heavy backstory bring it on! Whether you are new to TTRPGs or a more seasoned dice-slinger, I hope we can create a laid-back and welcoming space where your characters can navigate "real world" dangers in an imaginary world together and have a blast doing it. So let’s tell some stories together!

Character creation

Creating your character

All Daggerheart content is available for use when building characters, including void content. Once you have completed your sign up for this game you will receive an invite to join my Discord server. There will be a dedicated chat for this event to review any character creation questions. Due to the sensitive nature of this setting, all characters will be subject to the GM's approval prior to finalizing. This is just to ensure the safety of everyone at the table. This setting is meant to be highly lethal - be aware your character may not survive this game.

What Fabled brings to the table

Resources: Access to the Daggerheart core rules on Demiplane for character creation, virtual maps/tokens & npc/adversary artwork. Community: You are more than welcome stick around in the discord server for as long as you wish. It is a laid-back server with a group of like minded TTRPG players where we will be posting about upcoming games. GM Style: I utilize simple game tools and maps to engage everyone in the table in an immersive and interactive way with an easy entry point. I lean into detailed world building and like to prove visual aids to players before and during play - including regional maps, NPC/Adversary artwork, ect. I enjoy character voices but limit those to roll-play situations to ensure players have clarity when it matters most. I believe that this is as much (or more so) the player's story than it is the GM's so I will prompt players to provide descriptions of actions or locations. I expect input from all players as the story progresses. I respect Rules as Written to ensure a balanced game but I also will always leave the door open for Rule of Cool. Some of the best moments of TTRPG are when players have a creative approach to the obstacles in their way. So as long as you can tell me how/why ROC should be applied I will always consider it.
