About the adventure
Across the frontier, massive caravans travel between scattered settlements using ancient rune-powered propulsion systems maintained by a small and respected clan known as the Rune Carvers. No one truly understands how the system works anymore. The runes are simply maintained the way they always have been. Until one day a rune changes. When the caravan arrives at the frontier town of Hearthgate Reach, the propulsion lattice begins behaving in unexpected ways. The Rune Carvers insist the rune pattern is correct, yet the system continues to shift. New markings appear beside the runes. The hum beneath the wagons grows stronger. Something beneath the world may be responding. As members of the caravan community, the players will travel across the frontier investigating ancient sites, exploring forgotten ruins, and slowly uncovering the truth behind the mysterious magical infrastructure hidden beneath the world.

Creating your character
Characters begin at Level 3 as members of the caravan community. Examples include: • caravan guards • artificer apprentices • traveling scholars • scouts and wilderness guides • merchants or traders • wandering adventurers seeking opportunity Characters should have a reason to travel with the caravan and interact with its residents. Unless you were part of the Beta testing then it would be what level you ended the game with.
