About the adventure
Whether for glory, gold, or revenge you have set out on a quest to takedown a legendary vampire. From the moment you arrive in the cursed land you are drawn into a conflict between it's ruler and the vampire that wishes to usurp them. All the while, a third Darklord watches from his castle with flames in his eyes as his malicious plan unfolds. Here, you must face three of the most iconic bosses in the multiverse, but you only have to kill one to make it out alive, the Alpha Vampire Strahd Von Zarovich, the Darklord of Barovia! This adventure is the Curse of Strahd with expanded content from Ravenloft, The Horrors Within. ▶️ Playstyle of this game flexes with each table, but we always live and die by the roll of the dice. Combat can be crunchy but it's not the only way to win the day. You will be encouraged to roleplay, take chances, and to contribute to the narrative.

About me
Hail and well met adventurers, Over the last four years, I have met hundreds of incredible people around the virtual table. The stories we've shared have brought joy, laughter, and a even a few tears into our lives. Many of these folks return to the table year after year. They'll be quick to welcome you to and eager to hear your tales and experiences when you sit down to play. My road to becoming a professional Dungeon Master is a long and storied one that began with a few little fibs I used to tell as an extremely shy kid. When I met new people, I would tell them cowboy stories about adventures I had with my faithful steed. The more smiles I received, the longer the stories went on. Growing up in the Midwest region of the US, Dungeons & Dragons was all around me. I played in my neighborhood when my brother and his friends would let me tag along. Later, he convinced the High School D&D club to let me come to the big table when I was still in Middle School. Fast Forward to 2016, I opened up the Lost Mines of Phandelver Box Set. After a 25 year hiatus from the hobby I loved, I sat down at the table with my kids and rediscovered the joy of Tabletop Role-Playing Games. Like many others, the 2020 Pandemic lockdowns led me to an online game that quickly brought me to a joyous career of story-telling and playing games. The rest we say, is canon. We will create 3rd level characters in session zero using: 5.5 E ('24) - Player's Handbook - Heroes of Faerun - Ravenloft The Horrors Within 5 E - Species from Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse We will use Standard array or Point Buy for stats, and fixed HP. ➖ No Evil Characters, Edge Lords, or Lone Wolves ➕ Yes Heroes, Flawed Champions, and Benevolent Rogues

What avidDM brings to the table
Ambiance and Immersion takes the front seat as we roll with the latest ruleset from D&D. We live and die by dice, but do our best to stay alive. A great story will be told and great battles will unfold. I will focus on pacing and getting your party to a satisfying conclusion for better or worse against the indomitable Strahd Von Zarovich.

Hard Limits/Lines : (absolutely none of this) ▪️No Real-life Religion, Politics, Prejudice or Unkindness ▪️Respect Player Pronouns and Identities ▪️No Self-harm, Sexual Content, or PVP (player vs player) Combat Soft Limits/Veils: (generally avoided, but if they come up, we'll fade to black) ▪️Torture - Roll for Intimidation and get answers, no roleplay for this. ▪️Harm to children/innocents - Villages may be destroyed, descriptions will not be graphic or describe individual deaths or harm of children or innocents. ▪️Romance beyond flirting will fade to black.
