About the adventure
NOTE: This adventure is intended to be a "One-Shot", but I have put it in as a campaign to allow for multiple sessions IF the need arises due to time restraints! In the city of Balthyme, the recently deceased have begun to rise again in the form of an undead plague that is tearing through the city. Rumors spreading through the town are pointing to a possible Dracolich roaming about causing the undead plague. Your mission, should you choose to accept, figure out the actual cause of the plague and handle it.

About me
I swear these don’t do people justice, but here we go. My name is Tony. I got into TTRPGs about 2-3 years ago and got brought on to start in a campaign. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to finish that campaign, but I dove HEAVILY into listening to Critical Role to understand the mechanics behind being a GM. I absolutely fell in love with the idea of stories being told by multiple people and I have wanted to dive in and fully commit. Since then, I have been a GM for multiple one shots, and have semi-recently started GM’ing a campaign for a “Forever GM” and a small group of friends. I typically utilize “Stars and Wishes” along side having a break in the middle of a session and I ensure to ask about hard and soft limits PRIOR to playing. The whole point of this is to have fun, right? So, let’s have some fun and tell some stories!

Creating your character
Character creation can be done prior to the adventure day. Here's the Basics: Use any Official Sources from the 2024 Ruleset. Backstory: Not fully necessary, but always welcomed. Standard array or Point Buy for stats, whichever you'd prefer. Create your Level 10 character in DNDBeyond and once you have added yourself to my campaign here, I will send the invite link to be able to utilize the DNDBeyond Maps. Multi-classing is acceptable! Items: (3) Potions of Healing (Greater) (4) Potions of Healing +2 Weapon of your choice (whatever suits your character) +1 Armor of your choice (whatever suits your character)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before diving in to take on take on some baddies, I'm gonna need you to have these things, or we will be saddies: DNDBeyond account (the free one is absolutely usable) Discord account for voice and communications Also, bring your laptop or other device for the virtual tabletop Maps and a microphone so I can hear your beautiful voices.
What Tony brings to the table
I *attempt* to do all the voices to make my NPCs stand out a little from each other. I also have ambiance music to help your brains get into the zone a bit more. *THE ONLY AI THAT I UTILIZE*: I have an AI Notetaker that can analyze the session and give a detailed recap that I will share with the party over the Discord Server at the end of the session. I won't railroad you but I also won't sit idly back either! We have an adventure to go on! A few minor details: NO PVP at the table. There will be plenty of time to take out some aggression on some baddies. I am a fan of the Rules as Written, however, I will not shy away from some epic out of the box thinking either! If what you're trying to do can be explained in a logical way, normally, I can let it happen. I wanna envision your shenanigans and see it happen too.
Homebrew rules

CRITS: THE PERKINS CRIT: Critical hits roll damage once and ADD the dice maximum. (2d6+3 becomes roll + 12 + 3). SKILL CHECKS: Natural 20's/1's: 20 is an Auto Success, 1 is an Auto Fail.

Safety
How Tony creates a safe table
With this being a One-Shot, (with possibilities of multiple sessions) we are going to go over some hard and soft limits (Lines and Veils) PRIOR to beginning the adventure. On top of that, there will also be a scheduled break about half way through our time together. I do also employ an Open-Door Policy. If at any point, you feel the need to step away, please feel free to do so. When i notice a player step away, I will send a private message to check in with that player. At the conclusion of the adventure, I will ask you about your "Stars and Wishes" as a way to fully wrap things up and so I can learn where and what to improve on.
