About the adventure
This is a high fantasy in a rustic setting, with lean mechanics for narrative roleplaying. If you enjoyed City of Mist or other Powered by the Apocalypse games, you'll be right at home here. If you're brand new to roleplaying, this one is very easy to learn! You begin the game as a denizen of the Dales, a remote mountain community that has lain undisturbed by the outside world for centuries. Tags, Not Stats. You character's backstory and experience gives them their abilities, not a list of numbers. Narrative games like Lady Blackbird, and recently Daggerheart use descriptive tags to describe things your character is good at. From creator of Legend in the Most Amit Moshe: "Creative freedom is the keyword here... For groups who love story, backstory, drama, and cinematic combat, LitM seems to offer more options. You can influence the scene in a hundred ways - by roleplaying, by farming, by baking... it's more like the stories we know and love."

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello! Pull up a chair, friend. This world is sorely in need of stories worth telling. A bit of lightness, a bit of courage, a bit of clever wordplay. There's nothing like a roleplaying game to draw out the best in us, and also to let us explore parts of ourselves that rarely see the light. That's why I play. I hope you'll join me! Half of the work I do is active grief counseling for bad GM experiences. The other half of the work I do is helping new players feel safe enough to really play and be imaginative. You are allowed to play, make mistakes, and take up your space at the table! I’m always learning and growing, and I try to read as much as I can about D&D, game design, history, politics, and storytelling. I am a big fan of Dimension20, especially seasons where Aabria Iyengar or Brennan Lee Mulligan are the Dungeon Master.

What Isaac brings to the table
No matter your experience level, I set a welcoming, inviting tone at my games. Your questions are good, your baggage from your last game is not too much, your experience matters to me! Pull up a chair, friend. All the sourcebooks you need will be available to you online. I will have the Core Rulebook for our use! I’m a musician and an artist at heart, so I love incorporating graphic design elements, musical soundtracks and ambient noise, beautiful maps, and character art to enhance the experience of the game. I think the biggest thing I bring to the table is a flair for the dramatic. I was a musical theater kid in high school. Character voices. Storytelling. High drama. Heartrending conflict. This is the stuff I like. Very much.
