About the adventure

About me
Hey y'all! I'm excited to GM amazing adventures with you! I've been loving RPGs ever since I was in high school, and I've been more active than ever in my D&D. Like many others, I'm a huge Critter. I'm also passionate about other RPG systems like Vampire: The Masquerade and Avatar Legends What you need to know about my games is that I always try to make sure my characters are having fun and to make sure that they are comfortable. I populate my games with diverse NPCs and love worldbuilding fantastic settings for everyone to play in. I also make sure to make sure my players have a healthy challenge. Creating your character
Players will start at level 3. Either Standard Array or Point Buy will be used for statistics. All official and Loot Tavern material is allowed, but characters must have a race and/or class option from Ryoko's Guide to better fit in with the setting.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a discord account, a roll20 account, and a mic. This campaign will be friendly to beginners; rules and house rules can be learned as the campaign progresses. Characters will be made during the session 0.
What Deryn brings to the table
For this campaign, I will provides maps, music, and voices for NPCs, as well as a compelling story based off of Japanese Mythology. Players will also have access to new races, subclasses, and spells.
Homebrew rules
All potions can be drunk as a bonus action, but require a full action to be administered to another person. Drinking a healing potion as a full action restores the maximum amount of hit points. I also include Crunchy Crits and Lingering Injuries for boss battles to feel even more deadly and dangerous! Not to worry, if you lose a hand or leg, we've got cool prosthetics to replace them!

How Deryn creates a safe table
Players can expect lots of homebrew creatures, harvesting and crafting mechanics, as well as a decent amount of combat, exploration, and roleplay. Session 0 will be provided for in-depth character creation, introduction to the setting, and choosing factions. X,N and O cards can be pulled when faced with triggering material. Breaks Will also be provided during the session for bio-breaks and other necessities. After the session, player will have the chance to provide feedback through Stars and Wishes.
