About the adventure
You want the truth? There’s no one in charge. The old rulers of New York City are gone, and what’s left is a place full of young vampires carving out space however they can. No elders. No safety net. Just neonates with a few decades under their belt, enough experience to be dangerous, and enough ambition to start causing problems. Everyone’s Carthian, technically. That’s the label. In reality, it’s crews, factions, and territory lines drawn in blood. Some try to build something stable. Others make sure nothing lasts. Either way, it comes down to the same thing: who controls what, and who can keep it. You run with your coterie. You take blocks, clubs, routes. Anything that matters. You do jobs, make deals, break them when needed. Sometimes it’s negotiation. Most of the time, it’s not. Just remember. In this city, if you don’t take something, someone else will.

About me
Building cities that bleed since 2005. Hi, I'm Marko. You're here because you're curious and I'm here because I love to tell stories. I've been doing it for two decades, mostly focusing on Vampire: The Masquerade and Vampire: The Requiem, with a bit of Mass Effect as a palate cleanser. I enjoy dark fantasy and have a heavy focus on roleplay, so my campaigns are always atmospheric and moody, with narration designed to push the players into a truly living world. My background in psychology and teaching helps me focus on each player individually, and I love using music and visual aids to immerse the players even more. The most important thing, however, is this: Escapism is king. There are no thinly veiled allegories in my games, no commentaries on real-world issues, no deliberate parallels to anything. Just a group of people getting together to tell a story full of drama and conflict, and have fun doing it. In my experience, this simple truth keeps the table safe and enjoyable. I've linked my YouTube channel below, feel free to check out some of my campaign trailers, character intros, etc. Also, come hang out on Discord! https://discord.gg/kDxMeaEsSM

Creating your character
You receive all relevant materials when you join the chronicle and if you want, you can start creating your character right away. If you have an idea for a character and want to talk about it in detail, I'm available to message on Discord. Coterie creation will happen during Session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a few things. DISCORD - Pretty much everything happens here. Materials, pictures, dice rolls, it all goes through Discord. You'll need a microphone and a decent Internet connection. Cameras are optional, but welcome. IMAGINATION - Of course. No knowledge of the system or setting is required. A desire to keep your territory from the hands of your rivals is more than enough. When you sign up for the adventure, you'll receive detailed info with links to character sheets, setting info documents, and our Discord server. As far as dice rolling is concerned, you can use the dice roller in Discord, physical dice, or even the basic Google dice roller. Whatever works for you.
What Marko [Anaxis Games] brings to the table
A free session zero, a private Discord server, custom visuals, and two decades of experience in storytelling, improv, and teaching, which helps in adapting to anything that can happen. My GM style focuses much more on the narrative and drama than on running rules as written, so expect opportunities to just, ya know, do cool stuff.
Homebrew rules
This chronicle uses a simple system of missions (Contracts, Favors, Debts) and downtime (City Time) to keep everything organized. Additionally, we'll include a kind of "chaos tracker" which, if it gets too high, draws the attention of something you don't wanna face.

How Marko [Anaxis Games] creates a safe table
Lines and veils will be discussed during Session 0. Once that's out of the way, we'll maintain an open door policy and incorporate breaks into sessions as needed. For any additional concerns, questions etc., I'm available to message on Discord. Player enjoyment is paramount so don't hesitate to contact me with the specifics.
