About the adventure
The Forgotten Realms have always been shaped by epic heroes (Alustriel Silverhand, Jaheira, Karlach and Shadowheart to name a few) but the next chapter belongs to you. You will journey across Faerûn chasing a destiny written in the stars long before you were born. Built on the foundation of the Forgotten Realms lore, this is a full Levels 1–20 campaign where you will set out to fulfil your epic destiny. Your backstory isn't flavour, it's the engine of this campaign. Personal arcs will be woven into the main story with meaningful choices and consequences. Characters in the Forgotten Realms are larger than life. You were never just a simple adventurer. You could be Chosen by a deity, tutored by the greatest wizard that ever lived, or descended from an archfey or demigod. You might be the sole survivor of a long-lost culture, an artificial person created by an alliance of powerful wizards, or a revolutionary eager to bring down the corrupt and cruel society from which you've narrowly escaped. Heroes seldom work alone. Faerûn has eight famous factions, each of which has a reach that extends across all. Some of these factions, like the Harpers or the Lords’ Alliance, are honourable and just, helping the needy and protecting the innocent. Others, like the greedy Zhentarim or the power-hungry Red Wizards, oppress their victims and focus on amassing power. Your character can join any of these factions, earning rewards for loyal service. Or, your character might oppose a faction and brave its ire. This is a Female/Femme only table: an affirming, safe space to explore bold and complex characters without reservation. Whether you are new to D&D or a seasoned player, come ready with a backstory or a rough idea and, most importantly, an open heart.

About me
Hi! I’m Susann, a DM who first and foremost believes the best stories are the ones we build together. I’ve been DMing D&D 5e (2024) for over a year now and while I love a good plot twist as much as anyone, my true joy comes from facilitating stories rather than writing them. My goal is simple: portray the world that reacts to your choices, celebrates your chaos and gives your characters the adventures they deserve. In my in-person home game my PCs are exploring Gullet Cove as awakened animals (Animal Adventure Campaign Setting from Steamforge Games) and are facing all types of different challenges from evil Rat Kings looking to overthrow the city to trying to establish a downline in a very lucrative triangle of trust. You might have the pleasure of seeing one of my pets in the background of my webcam (yes, I like play with video on). I have two cats - who both only have one eye.

Creating your character
You are the hero. You are special. Be prepared to have a backstory for your character, or an idea we can work on together. Ideally your character has a connection with at least one of the 8 factions (Cult of the Dragon, Emerald Enclave, Harpers, Lords’ Alliance, Order of the Gauntlet, Purple Dragon Knights, Red Wizards, Zhentarim) Characters begin at Level 1, using official D&D 5e 2024 material on DnD Beyond. Ability stats will be point buy or standard array, whichever you prefer. Each character will have an epic destiny, the big overarching goal your character is striving for. This will be custom crafted by you and me. We will take inspiration from how Arcanum World's Epic Paths work. Material available in the campaign via content sharing: PHB 2024 The Wild Beyond the Witchlight (2024 homebrew of backgrounds and species) Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerûn Lorwyn: First Light Eberron: Forge of the Artificer One-Shot Wonders: Holiday Adventure Pack Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything / Xanathar's Guide to Everything (if needed because not updated in PHB 2024)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need: - A free D&D Beyond account (for Character Sheets and DnD Beyond Maps for VTT) - Access to Discord for voice, webcam and chat - A stable internet connection No purchases or paid accounts are required.
What Susann brings to the table
As your DM, I bring a collaborative and story-forward experience that celebrates your choices and supports great moments. I am not a voice actor, but I aim to craft NPCs with warmth and personality, giving you villagers to befriend, frustrate, or adopt. My goal is simple: a fun and supportive table where we build something memorable together. I generally stick to the Rules as Written to keep things fair and clear, but I’m always open to the Rule of Cool when it adds to the story and the moment feels right. Sessions are collaborative and curiosity-driven. I love when players surprise me and we discover the story together. My webcam will be on, and I strongly encourage players to have theirs on as well. It really helps with roleplay. Sessions are run on a dedicated, closed discord server just for this campaign and I use a transcription bot so that I can provide useful summaries of sessions and creates a unique wiki of our campaign.
Homebrew rules
We are playing DnD 5e (2024 rules) Nat 1 / Nat 20: A Natural 1 is a failure, no matter the modifier. A Natural 20 is the best possible outcome, not a guaranteed success. Crunchy Crits: When you crit, roll your normal damage die, add the maximum value of that die, then add your modifiers.

How Susann creates a safe table
We will use Pause a Minute during the games and a Player Deck of Safety during our Session 0. After each session, I'd like to do a quick Stars and Wishes. I like using them to make sure you're getting the most out of the game. Pause a Minute: It lets players halt gameplay anytime. Say it aloud - or enter PAM in chat a DM to me to trigger a brief timeout. The group pauses briefly, then regroups after a quick check-in. You could use this when: Something in the game feels uncomfortable A subject appeared unexpectedly You need clarification Tension around the table seems too intense You just need a minute to take a breath
