About the adventure

Descent into the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, was re-released in 2024 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of D&D. Originally created in 1982 as a Tournament Adventure by none other than Gary Gygax himself, it teases the lore of Iggwilv, the Witch Queen - known to most as Tasha, creator of the Hideous Laughter Spell. The Caverns were her lair as she learned to manipulate demons and other creatures. One demon, Graz'zt hated and loved her (which was mutual), yet eventually broke free of her prison. Not wanting to suffer the same fate, she fled her lair, leaving its vast treasure behind. Players can expect a good balance of roll-playing, problem-solving, and combat. A classic "dungeon crawl" for 4-6 ambitious adventurers of 9th level.

About me

My name is Suzan, but you can call me KT. I started playing D&D back in 1978 with borrowed and shared materials, dice from other board games, graph paper and pencils, lead mini's, and ever changing rules. Then the AD&D books came out, and I created a Homeworld. My original characters became NPC's, including Kayen-Telva (KT). In the 1990's I taught my kids to play, and we had regular games with "wandering" friends for years. We still play - sometimes online sometimes in person. I've also been playing and running tables at a local Game Store for a few years now. Those games are Adventurers League, which is a great way to learn the game and make new friends. Even played in some tournaments, which was fun and rewarding. I've been a teacher, writer, dancer, musician and a therapist in addition to being a mom, and a gamer. D&D is an excellent tool for creative self expression. Can't imagine my life without it. Join me, won't you?

Character creation

Creating your character

Players may create their own 9th level characters using the 2024 D&D PH, and any compatible supplemental material you have. Or there are pre-made characters for use.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Since I'm using D&D Beyond Maps, you will need a D&D Beyond account. Joining this game will give you a free account if you've never used it before. I will also be using Discord.

What KT brings to the table

My goal is for you to have fun. I'll use some voices, as well as encourage you to dive deep into "what would your character do". While we will use the 2024 rules, I encourage creativity and discussion and yeah, I might "allow" that plan - just to see what happens.

Homebrew rules

At 9th level, you should have 3 attunable items. Common, Uncommon, Wonderous and Rare only. No Very Rare, or Legendary items. Weapons and armor can be +1, or +2 Consumables like potions and scrolls are limited to no more than 10 total.
