About the adventure

A few years after the destruction of the Institute in the Commonwealth, new powers are pushing south into the irradiated wilds of Florida. The Brotherhood of Steel has begun establishing forward bases across the Gulf Coast, seeking lost technology buried beneath drowned cities and old space-age ruins. The Minutemen, newly revitalized after the Commonwealth’s recovery, follow close behind—hoping to build settlements and bring stability to the fractured wasteland. For now, an uneasy peace exists between them. But Florida has never been easy to tame. ---- The Floridian wasteland is unlike anywhere else in post-war America. ☢️ The Everglades glow faintly at night, their waters thick with radiation and strange life. 🐊 Hybrid Gator Deathclaws stalk the swamps—massive, armored apex predators rumored to be the result of pre-war experimentation. 🌴 Irradiated wildlife and twisted plant life have turned the wetlands into a hostile jungle few survive crossing. 🏙 The ruins of Miami, Tampa, and Orlando are half-flooded labyrinths filled with raiders, scavengers, and forgotten technology. ---- Though the Institute was destroyed in the Commonwealth, not all of its secrets died with it. Rumors spread across the wasteland of: Hidden research facilities Synth activity far from the Commonwealth Strange machines buried beneath Florida’s ruins Someone, or something, may still be continuing the Institute’s work. And if the rumors are true… The Florida wasteland might soon become the center of something far bigger than raiders or mutant beasts. ---- Your Story: You are survivors in a land where every mile could kill you. You might be: - A Brotherhood scout searching for lost tech - A Minuteman envoy trying to establish new settlements - A wasteland scavenger hunting for pre-war treasures - A runaway synth trying to stay hidden - A Vault Dweller looking to escape the confines of their home, and explore the wasteland Or simply someone trying to survive the swamp But soon, your choices will pull you into a growing conspiracy that could reshape the entire region. And the Sunshine State might burn brighter than ever. ---- Welcome to the Florida Wasteland! Where the gators are bigger. The water glows greener. And the truth is buried deep beneath the swamp. War never changes. Not even for Florida Men.

About me

Hey there, adventurers! I go by The Forever DM on Discord, but feel free to call me Nick! I’m 27 years old and have over 13 years of experience playing and running tabletop RPGs, especially D&D and games like it. My style is relaxed, creative, and collaborative. I love running dynamic sandbox campaigns with multiple story threads, tailored to the players’ characters and preferred play styles. Whether it’s a custom world or a published module, I aim to make every session feel personal and engaging. I’m well-versed in both D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e, and I also run games using the Star Wars 5e conversion. I believe everyone deserves a seat at the table—whether you're a seasoned veteran or brand new to the hobby. My goal is always to create a fun, inclusive space where players feel safe experimenting, exploring, and expressing themselves. My friends know me as a DM who lets chaos reign (within reason!), and I do my best to say “yes, and...” whenever possible. I primarily use Roll20 to run my games, as it's given me the best results in creating immersive, organized sessions. I’ve also run systems like Masks: A New Generation, and I’m always open to learning new ones if it means creating the best experience for my players. More than anything, I want to build lasting memories and foster real camaraderie through shared storytelling. So if that sounds like your kind of table—pull up a chair. Let’s roll some dice and make something unforgettable. All the best, Nick

Safety

How The DM Nick creates a safe table

Players can expect session zero to cover introductions, the group dynamic (alignment/character preferences, lines and veils, etc.), explanations for what the adventure entails as well as expectations for what the players are looking to find. Any house rules or game settings, such as Milestone leveling, will also be discussed at this time. During sessions they can expect quick flow into or out of combat, some occasional voice work, good knowledge of the rules, and a sharp keeping of start and stop times so we can keep to schedule.
