About the adventure
Warzone is a drop-in Lancer game built for people who want to play without committing to a full campaign. Each session is a self-contained mission. You’ll deploy into a scenario, get a bit of context and roleplay, and then get straight into combat. Most sessions include one or two encounters, depending on pacing. There’s no ongoing story you need to keep up with, and no expectation that you attend regularly. You can join whenever it suits you. You can stick with the same character or try something new each session. You’re free to use content from any official Lancer sourcebook or LCP, as long as it’s cleared ahead of time. This game is a good place to test new builds, try out different frames and gear or just get a feel for the system in actual play The emphasis is on tactical combat. Roleplay is present, but kept fairly light to keep things moving. Occasionally, we’ll run larger-scale engagements using the Maximum Threat skirmish rules. These sessions involve multiple NPC units and a broader battlefield, with players influencing how the fight plays out. If you’re after a consistent group and long-term story, this probably isn’t the right fit. If you just want to drop in, pilot a mech, and get into a good fight, you’ll be right at home.

About me
When I was around 10 years of age I was handed a copy of the 1983 Dungeons and Dragons basic rules (a copy that I still have to this day). Since then I have been captured by the fun of running all kinds of pen and paper games, consistently improving and trying to create the most fulfilling gaming experience I can. Since starting here on Startplaying, I have learned so much and improved my games tenfold in a bid to create something truly memorable for everyone who joins my table. I work hard at detailing every aspect of my games and ensure that they are to a standard that is above and beyond what you find at most tables. This is a process that has no true end and to that degree I am always looking for feedback and ways to improve the experience wherever I can. Please take a look at my games which are currently recruiting and see if there is any that interest you, all of my tables are a inclusive and welcoming space for anyone who wants to play. I work hard to create a community that is friendly and helpful to everyone who decides to join us.

What Games Master JJ brings to the table
You will get access to a welcoming and inclusive community of Lancer fans on my discord server who have been playing together for two years across many campaigns. I have spent hours crafting the VTT environment to provide a smooth and immersive experience for you. All my combat maps are in the isometric perspective and I have utilised animations and sound effects for attacks and NPC's. While I am no voice actor, I like to give the NPCs you will meet distinct voices and accents (much to everyone's amusement).
