About the adventure

In the Tundras of Vagaria, a primal energy is growing, one that has remained unseen for eons. The Dark Queen's forces are making themselves known once more. Draconic occultists risk their lives shouting about her reemergence in the streets. Her whispers can be heard in dreams, her power can be felt in the earth itself, and there's nothing that anyone alive can do about it, at least that's what she thinks. But in the darkness, an opposite force is emerging, equally cunning, equally dangerous, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep the scaled tyrant exactly where she is. (Do you like killing dragons? Do you like scouring hoards for gold, treasure and magical items? Well, do I have the campaign for you? Join 4-5 other players and battle the forces of Tiamat as she tries to escape Avernus and claim her throne on the material plane in a homebrew world where you can be almost anything. You'll fight the forces of evil, conquer dungeons to collect their loot, and in the end save the world...)

About me

Hey, I'm Kingdom. I have been playing and DMing Dungeons and Dragons for 10 years now, and I love it. I originally got into D&D by listening to and/or watching Critical Role, The Adventure Zone, and XPtoLevel3, all of which I still enjoy today. Over the course of my 10 years 10 years, I've mainly played as the DM, but have also played in a couple of campaigns as a player. I have Dmed campaigns across many different genres and have found that I am most comfortable playing with horror themes in a high-fantasy setting. My current campaign, which has been going on for three years now, is set in my homebrew world of Narrilia and is set in a high-fantasy era in which magical mutations on legendary monsters are wreaking havoc across the continent my players are travelling through. Homebrew is what I enjoy most of all. Over the years, I have made various Subclasses, Species/subspecies, spells, magic items, feats, and monsters, all for my players and me to enjoy. All in all, I love Dungeons and Dragons, and I'm looking forward to playing more in the future.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will be making characters during our session 0 (which will be free of charge), where you can hear about the homebrew world, and we will dive deep into what kind of character you will play.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be using D&D Beyond for character sheets (All relevant content will be unlocked for you to use), Discord for meetings and play, and owlbear rodeo for any combats. You will need an account for all of these services (I can help with setup if needed)

What Kingdom brings to the table

I will be bringing 10 years of experience playing D&D and other TTRPGs. The goal is to make "A Tale of Scale, Fang, and Claw" as fun for my players as I can. This includes voicing NPCs with accents and dialects depending on the creature (though I don't expect voices from pc's if they're uncomfortable with doing so), Epic combats with homebrew rules to make it feel like you're watching a movie, and powerful abilities to make the characters powerful enough to fight anything

Safety

How Kingdom creates a safe table

We will start with a session 0 (free of charge), during which we will go over boundaries, safety tools, what everyone is expecting from the game, and how we will approach play. It's also the time when we will meet and hang out for the first time, create characters and connections, and figure out the finer details of it all
