About me

I'm a GM, teacher, and improv nerd who runs collaborative, character-driven games. I believe the best RPG stories are forged by the whole table, not written by one person. My background in teaching and improv helps me craft worlds full of heart and humor where your choices truly matter. My goal is to create a fun, inclusive space where we can build something truly epic together.

Creating your character

Create your character in D&D Beyond using point buy or standard array for ability scores. All official content and most third-party books are allowed. Everything is shared through my D&D Beyond account once you join the campaign. No homebrew without prior approval. Use your Gear Points to purchase magic items and consumables. Gear costs are based on rarity: - Common: 1 point - Uncommon: 4 points - Rare: 9 points - Very Rare: 16 points - Legendary: 25 points - Artifact: 36 points After joining, you may ask one yes-or-no question about the upcoming encounter to help guide your build. You gain one additional question each time another player joins after you. If the table fills, everyone gets a bonus question.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All characters must be created in D&D Beyond. A campaign link will be sent after sign-up. If you don’t already have an account, creating one is free and only takes a minute. By joining the campaign, you’ll gain full access to my D&D Beyond library. This includes every official book and most major third-party supplements. You’ll also be able to use the D&D Beyond character builder, digital sheets, and Maps virtual tabletop during play. Games are hosted over Discord voice chat. A server invite will be sent before the game. Please make sure you have: - A stable internet connection - A working microphone - Headphones (strongly recommended to avoid echo) - Video is optional but encouraged, as it helps with communication and pacing All rolls must be made in D&D Beyond and set to public.

What Drew DiSario brings to the table

I provide full access to my complete D&D Beyond digital library, including every official book and all major third-party supplements. You’ll have everything you need to build and play your character, including classes, subclasses, spells, feats, and magic items. Combat takes place on D&D Beyond Maps, a virtual tabletop fully integrated with your digital character sheet. You’ll be able to move tokens, track conditions, and play without needing to manage multiple platforms. Sessions are hosted on a boosted Discord server with high-quality audio, enhanced streaming, and expanded server features. I use professional audio equipment, including a studio microphone and a GoXLR interface, to ensure clear and consistent sound throughout the game. Each encounter is supported by Kenku FM, which streams a curated mix of music and ambient soundscapes tailored to match the tone of the battle. I also use character voices and real-time voice modulation to bring NPCs and enemies to life without slowing the pace of play.

Homebrew rules

GEAR POINTS Characters begin with equipment granted by their class and background. Additional equipment and magic items are purchased using Gear Points. See the Character Creation section for more info. ENCOUNTER QUESTIONS After joining, players may ask one yes-or-no question about the encounter. You gain one extra question for each additional player who joins after you. If the table fills, everyone gets a bonus question. POTIONS OF HEALING - Bonus Action: roll for healing - Action: max healing - Feeding a potion to another creature always takes an action and uses rolled healing All other potions follow standard rules. INSPIRATION Inspiration lets you reroll any d20 after seeing the result and choose which roll to keep. RULE OF COOL If the rules don’t clearly cover a situation, I’ll make a quick call with fairness and fun in mind to keep things moving.

Safety

How Drew DiSario creates a safe table

My goal is to make every session safe, respectful, and fun for all players. When you sign up, you’ll receive an optional Google Form where you can share any lines, veils, or other preferences that will help create a safe and comfortable game. Your responses are private and only for me. At the start of each session we take a few minutes to check in and review any lines and veils that have been shared. I do not disclose who submitted them unless you want me to. This sets clear boundaries and ensures everyone at the table feels supported. During play, breaks are always available if needed. You can let me know at any point if something is uncomfortable, and I will adjust immediately. After the game, I stay for a short, optional debrief. This can be a casual chat or a Stars and Wishes round where players highlight their favorite moments and share suggestions for future sessions. Feedback is always welcome and helps me shape even better games moving forward.
