About the adventure

In a land stuck between a dying nation and a rising empire, law has not yet found itself locked in. Monsters roam freely through the fields. Magic is wild and chaotic. And worse, a cult has begun spreading itself through the Western Frontier. Can anyone reign in this untamed land or will it spread to every corner of the world? Only you will be able to answer that question with your magics, your guns and your willingness to get the job done. You will play level one heroes with access to all sorts of unique monstrous races to try to resolve this growing concerns. We will use the fantastic DND 5e 2024 rule set to have you play this dynamic and unique short campaign. Will you be able to make this frontier safe for everyone? Or will it crumble? We ride at dawn to find out.

About me

Hello adventurers! My name's Jacob and I've been running TTRPGs for over a decade with three years of experience full time GM-ing. With a long background in theatre as well as a former designer of escape rooms, I bring a wealth of experience to every game I run. My focus is on making a fun and satisfying story regardless of player history with the game. No matter whether your characters are trekking through a mountain pass, exploring the furthest reaches of space or even attending a spooky summer camp, you should be experiencing a well crafted adventure you will never forget! I also bring an attentive eye to representation within the game space. As a former organizer and field director for numerous political campaigns, I have fought for this first hand and will not let it go unnoticed in my games. There is a wide spectrum of games I have played and run varying from DND (5e and 3.5), Pathfinder (1e and 2e), Doctor Who, Kids on Bikes, Honey Heist, Mutants and Masterminds, Call of Cthulhu, Wet Hot American Summer, Everything Is Dolphins, Fallout RPG and much, much more. I look forward to crafting unique gaming experiences in these wildly different worlds exclusively for you.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen as part of session zero. Make sure to bring a few ideas you are excited about but we will do it all together!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The game will be done through Discord with the use of Owlbear.Rodeo and D&DBeyond. With that in mind, you will need a working internet connection. I would recommend a working microphone, headset and a computer. You may use your own dice or digital dice.

What Jacob Cordas brings to the table

I will provide a dynamic and highly flexible adventure that caters to your exact playstyle while still embracing the grand scale that this campaign demands. Every choice will matter as you go on this epic adventure.

Safety

How Jacob Cordas creates a safe table

This game will take safety seriously so we can comfortable and securely roleplay all of the fantastic elements that this campaign will require. We will have a full Session Zero that will include the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. From there, while we play, we will use a variant of X, N And O Cards called Yellow/Red Cards as well as an Open Door Policy and a regularly scheduled Break.
