About me
I've been playing and running TTRPGs for over forty years now, and love big epic stories with even bigger epic heroes. My favorite systems include D&D 5E and Fate.

Creating your character
Our first session will be what's called a session zero. We'll discuss characters and select them from a number of pregenerated ones I've created. We'll use the D&D Beyond website to manage characters and run our campaign.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a free account on D&D Beyond and one on DIscord. I will provide you with the link to the campaign on D&D Beyond and the Discord server.
What Joshua brings to the table
After starting your account on D&D Beyond and joining the campaign you'll have access to all the material in my library. I strive to bring a welcoming and fun environment to my table. Combat will be fast and furious. Role-playing encounters will be strange and wonderful. As this is a beginner's game designed to teach you the rules, I will steer more towards Rules as Written play, but the Rule of Cool is always present in my games.

How Joshua creates a safe table
We will discuss lines and veils (a form of safety tools) during session zero. We will use the phrase "let's pause for a minute" when someone needs us to change the direction the game is going in, similar to how an X card works. And if things get too intense we'll take a break.
