About the adventure

In this campaign you will travel from the depths of Sharn, City of Towers, to the dreaded Mournlands, and to the jungles of Xen'Drik. You will explore abandoned Cannith laboratories and ancient Giant ruins. You will battle Blood of Vol fanatics, warforged terrorists, Drow cannibals, undead Giants and Quori horrors from Beyond. Oh, there might also be dragons. And vampires. it's not like we want them to feel left out, right? You might even discover the truth about what makes warforged tick. If you survive, that is. Do warforged dream of artificer sheep? Session 0 is free! -> Everyone <- is welcome :) ------------------ The Last War, after decades of conflict, is finally over. The Treaty of Thronehold officially ended it, and recognized current -and new- nations all over Khorvaire. It also recognized all warforged as individuals and citizens, like any other other person. But the situation is so, so very fragile. Many threats slowly weaken it, day by day, straining the peace. Leftovers from the War, like nationalism and unrest. Most warforged are still regarded as outsiders. The refugees from Cyre, left with no home or nation. And more direct threats, like the fanatic cultists of the outlawed Order of the Emerald Claw. Or the warforged terrorist known only as the Lord of Blades. And ... something else. Something that threatens the very dreams of peace and harmony itself... some THING from beyond the darkness of the night, some thing that is shaking and rattling the bars of its ancient cage... ------------------------------- This is a heavily modified and reworked campaign loosely based on the official Eberron adventures Forgotten Forge, Shadows of the Last War, Whispers of the Vampire Blade, and Grasp of the Emerald Claw. I remastered it so much that it only vaguely resembles the original modules, but the essential strokes remain. This campaign dives deep into the mystery of the Warforged, and it explores what is the meaning of being human, or even alive.

About me

Hey :) My name is Frollo, and I love being a GM. I have a relaxed GMing style, story-driven and focused on collaborative fun. I always customize and remix the campaigns I run, so players' choices matter and their stories shape the world. And you are welcome to sit at my table. Beginner, first-timer, veteran, LGBTQ+, introvert and extrovert. It's a safe space for everyone. I promise we will have fun and tell a fantastic story, with you as one of the protagonists. See, the thing is, I love stories. And I love TT Role-Playing Games because YOU get to tell AND live crazy stories. And EVERYONE at my table gets to express themselves, and dream up crazy new identities to play with. To me, TTRPGs are a celebration of creativity and fun. The best stories come from their characters, and that's YOU in a Role-Playing Game! I might be the Worst case of "Forever DM" you've ever seen, probably. I am from Italy, where I live, and I started playing TTRPGs a (very) long time ago, with a group of friends based around a our local game store - one of us actually worked in there. I might have played most RPGs ever published, once or twice. Or at least read them. Lately, I started to really, really like D&D 5E because it reached a great balance of fun, versatility and rules. It is also a very welcoming system for beginners. But in cases of emergency, I can "break the glass" and GM Vampire, Cthulhu, Cyberpunk and Pathfinder like there's no tomorrow.

Character creation

Creating your character

Will use 5E 2024. Start at level 1, with Milestone advancement. Manual Buy for Abilities, with 74 points total, minimum 7/maximum 18 in any stat at Level 1. Any character class/species combination is (more or less :) ) allowed. This is in the Eberron setting - Everything has a place in Eberron. So even if it's something really unusual we will find a way to make your concept fit in. I also want to use "Kanon" material: Exploring Eberron, Frontiers of Eberron and Chronicles of Eberron are IN. If you don't know what those are, don't worry about it :)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please have a (free) D&D Beyond account. Please have a (free) Discord account. Campaign and Discord Server Links will be provided.

What Frollo_GM brings to the table

I will strive to provide a fun, immersive experience. I will run a customized, adapted version of he campaign as written. I always interweave your character's background in the overarching story of the campaign, because I love doing that. Most maps we will use are made by me in Dungeon Alchemist.

Homebrew rules

Would like to use "Kanon" rules, integrating Keith Baker's indipendently published manuals: Exploring Eberron, Frontiers of Eberron, and Chronicles of Eberron.
