About the adventure
"The Infinite Staircase spirals endlessly in a vast, dreamlike expanse, twisting upward and downward to countless doors linked to every world and plane of existence. It is the route to the heart's desire, an extradimensional staircase that leads to all places. Beyond its myriad portals lie enchanting Feywild gardens, sunken cities ruled by ancient evils, and untold adventures. Legends state that by diligently searching the staircase's landings, a wistful traveler can find the door to the destination of their dreams...." That's all well and good, but what if you and a group of others awaken to find yourselves on one of the infinite landings with no memory of how you got there? What if your only hope rests (quite literally, it turns out) on the shoulders of a strangely-tattooed man whose haunted eyes betray his knowledge of how many seconds exist in eternity? What if he reveals the tattoo to be a map of the Multiverse, and that you were brought to the Staircase to protect the map from an entity beyond the Multiverse, and that failure would mean the unravelling of EVERYTHING? So begins a tale of strangers in a strange place. Each of you have been pulled into the Infinite Staircase from your individual worlds by some unknown force to perform a seemingly-impossible task. You band together to traverse the Staircase, hoping each new door you open will be the one that leads to your salvation and--with a little luck--home. This campaign uses elements from the "Quests from the Infinite Staircase" module, as well as a fair amount of homebrewing, and is designed for 3-6 players to take their 1st-level characters all the way to 20th level.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Everyone has a story in them. Let me help you find yours. It can be hard for those who want to play TTRPGs, but either can’t find a group or just don’t know how to get started. Let me make that easier for you by offering my services as a professional Game Master for whatever game system you’re interested in playing. Let’s build a story together, while leaving you the freedom to explore and enjoy the world you’re creating without being bogged down by rules and multiple plotlines to keep track of. I've been doing this for over 30 years and have garnered a reputation for being a little outside the box but--at the same time--being 100% inclusive. The goal is for everyone to have fun and for nobody to feel left out. Also, if you see me advertising a game with no players yet, and the scheduled day and time doesn't work, message me with a day and time that would work and I can possibly move it to that schedule. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Creating your character
Character creation will take place during Session 0, but you are welcome to get a head start if you like. My basic guidelines are as follows: 1. Stats are determined by rolling 4d6 and dropping the lowest per stat. 2. Leveling up is milestone-based. 3. Encumbrance is enforced, but coin weight is ignored. 4. I allow all official content (including Unearthed Arcana), as well as most 3rd-party content with prior approval.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a mic, as well as access to both Discord and D&D Beyond. Links to my Discord server, and D&D Beyond campaign page will be provided upon signing up for the game.
What Nemesis Noir brings to the table
Apart from using Discord, I also have access to several sourcebooks, as well as a D&D Beyond subscription. I'll be using the 2024 rules for this campaign, but I do have a few house rules of my own that I will discuss with you as a group.
Homebrew rules
I have options for homebrew rules; we'll talk about them during Session Zero to see if the group wants to use them or not.
