About the adventure
Welcome to Paryllaxx. In a distant corner of the multiverse, there exists a world the size of a brown dwarf star. The geographical effects of its accelerated planetary rotation have caused the landmasses to twist into what appears from the heavens as a large, unending spiral. This, in turn, has caused the oceans to follow suit and is the reason the entire oceanic flow has been named the Spyral Sea by those who travel it. You can't remember how you ended up in the woods after dark on the longest night of the year. As you trudge through the snow, you struggle to get your bearings in this endless forest. You want nothing more than a way out, and then you see it: a light off in the distance. Your pace quickens towards the light, and you find yourself at the doorstep of an inn. You knock on the door, and it is immediately answered by an older gentlemen who bids you welcome, ushers you in and closes the door behind you. The heat of the fireplace immediately takes the cold out of your bones, and the innkeeper offers you a seat at a large table where--as you sit for what feels like the first time in years--he places a warm cup of mulled wine in front of you. As you drink, there is another knock at the door. The innkeeper welcomes in another adventurer much like yourself. Although you have never seen this person before, they are familiar to you nonetheless--just as familiar as you are to them. Others arrive shortly after, one at a time, until the table is full. As you all warm to the comfort of the inn, you begin to remember things. As each of you tells your story, you begin to realize more and more how you all know each other...and the realization of how you all ended up lost in the woods on the coldest night of the year brings a different kind of chill to your bones. You're going to need more mulled wine.... This fantasy campaign takes a group of adventurers on a roller coaster ride through time to right something that once went wrong, and proves that--on the longest night of the year--second chances are possible.

About me
Everyone has a story in them. Let me help you find yours. It can be hard for those who want to play TTRPGs, but either can’t find a group or just don’t know how to get started. Let me make that easier for you by offering my services as a professional Game Master for whatever game system you’re interested in playing. Let’s build a story together, while leaving you the freedom to explore and enjoy the world you’re creating without being bogged down by rules and multiple plotlines to keep track of. I've been doing this for over 30 years and have garnered a reputation for being a little outside the box but--at the same time--being 100% inclusive. The goal is for everyone to have fun and for nobody to feel left out. Also, if you see me advertising a game with no players yet, and the scheduled day and time doesn't work, message me with a day and time that would work and I can possibly move it to that schedule. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Creating your character
Character creation will take place during Session 0, but you are welcome to get a head start if you like. My basic guidelines are as follows: 1. Stats are determined by rolling 4d6 and dropping the lowest per stat. 2. Leveling up is milestone-based. 3. Encumbrance is enforced, but coin weight is ignored. 4. I allow all official content (including Unearthed Arcana), as well as most 3rd-party content with prior approval.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need access to a mic, as well as both Discord and D&D Beyond.
What Nemesis Noir brings to the table
Apart from using Discord, I also have access to several sourcebooks, as well as a D&D Beyond subscription. I'll be using the 2024 rules for this campaign, but I do have a few house rules of my own that I will discuss with you as a group.
Homebrew rules
I have options for homebrew rules; we'll talk about them during Session Zero to see if the group wants to use them or not.
