About the adventure

Just off the Sword Coast lies a small village. A new shop has opened up there, a franchise of Acquisitions Incorporated. You are the owners of this establishment, looking for riches, power, glory, and anything that isn't tied down. The head office has given you a task to perform. While there are many things that need doing in this area, the head office has ordered this to be of the highest importance. As you set off on this journey, you will be met with intrigue, fighting, social interactions, and maybe even death....but that won't stop you! You are adventurers of the Sword Coast and nothing shall stop you...maybe.

About me

I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons since the 1980s when I came across it with some friends. I played until I left for work. 30 years later, I got back into D&D and started various campaigns around my town introducing new players to this wonderful world. Now, after many years, I have a solid group that have been playing for 2 years together. Looking to expand online and bring enjoyment to many others.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters should be created on DND Beyond, using Core Rules only, using a Standard Array for stats. In our first session we will properly equip your characters, so unless there is something specific during creation you want, you can wait for session 1. We will start at level 1 and work forward. Please create your character on DND Beyond and join the adventure at least 2 days prior to the start so I can look at your character sheet ahead of time.

The current party

We have some newish players in the group and this is designed to be fun.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The campaign will be done using DND Beyond and the build in VTT there. We will also use Discord server for the voice chat. DND Beyond Campaign : https://www.dndbeyond.com/campaigns/join/710742012190853 Discord Server : https://discord.gg/f4twqfdR

What Shane brings to the table

As a GM, I will be pretty lenient on certain things. All dice rolling is done electronically and public (for the most part). I totally embrace the rule of cool...if you want to attempt something, I'll likely allow it! Now, that doesn't always mean it will succeed. If an epic failure happens, it will get fleshed out in real time on how epic a failure it was. These are things you will remember forever. Voices are not my strong suit, but I will attempt to be "in character" when need be.

Homebrew rules

No specific homebrew rules, but sometimes I may skirt the official DND rules.

Safety

How Shane creates a safe table

Prior to the start of the campaign, I would ask that players contact me with any things that they do NOT want during the campaign. What things do they consider "hard limits". Also, I will have XNO's done via private messaging during the game and we will deal with it at that time. I will check in with players after every session and before the next session to make sure they are ok with the way things are going.
