About the adventure
War. War has returned to Doskvol. The streets have grown sleepless and finicky, tensions simmering as petty gang friction ignites into widespread chaos, drawing in faction after faction. The conflict spirals across the neighbourhood like wildfire—trouble for many, but opportunities for a daring few. ‘Fog and Fury’ is a crew and character-driven campaign for 5 players. You’ll start at street level with a fresh crew of your own, choosing your lair and hunting grounds for your early operations, and try to make the best of the mayhem unfolding.

About me
Hey, I’m DC, a GM of the forever type. Started playing and running AD&D 2nd edition in the ‘90s, soon extending into some of the next gen games of the era (Ars Magica, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk 2020, Earthdawn, White Wolf’s Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage). I’ve picked up the hobby again with D&D 5e (as you do) around 2020, and running games in English since then, both online and at the table. I’m also most eager to branch out into some of the interesting new stuff that came out lately.

Creating your character
We’re creating characters during session zero as a party, using a crew-first approach. Please spare a couple minutes beforehand on what kind of crew and scoundrel you’d like to play (and those you’d rather not).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure you can connect to Roll20 before the game and please check if your Discord's audio/video is operational. Please use earplugs or headphones, and avoid playing from your phone if possible.
What DC brings to the table
We'll primarily use theatre of the mind, with Roll20 handling character sheets, clocks, dice, handouts, and city maps. Session zero will start with an introduction or brief refresher on the setting and system, discuss expectations for the planned campaign, and cover safety tools. Assuming all goes well, we'll create your crew and characters, and establish your headquarters and starting hunting grounds in Doskvol. No preparation is needed on your part, but you'll find links and resources for ‘Blades in the Dark’ on the Discord server.

How DC creates a safe table
We'll talk over themes, expectations, as well as lines and veils for the game during session zero, covering most of our bases. We'll use stars and wishes after each session to steer the game and manage any problem or misunderstanding that may emerge. Finally, feel free to send me any feedback or message if you feel there's something that needs addressing.
