About DC

Hey, I’m DC, a GM of the forever type. Started playing and running AD&D 2nd edition in the ‘90s, soon extending into some of the next gen games of the era (Ars Magica, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk 2020, Earthdawn, White Wolf’s Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage). I’ve picked up the hobby again with D&D 5e (as you do) around 2020, and running games in English since then, both online and at the table. I’m also most eager to branch out into some of the interesting new stuff that came out lately.

I got started GMing...

The concept captivated me at the first moment when I was a wee high schooler. It was nothing short of amazing that games like this can even exist. I've played a quick game or two at a friend's table just to get the hang of it, and running games ever since.

How DC runs games

All experience levels are welcome, it’s always a special honour to introduce and re-introduce players to a setting, system, or the hobby. I prefer to run multi-session one-shots for parties of up to 4 players, so every character receives all the playtime they need. For anything longer than a single session, we’ll have a session zero to get to know each other, the setting, the rules, vote on house rules (if any), talk over personal preferences and red lines, answer questions, and if all is well, get on with character generation. I’ll guide each player through character creation, making sure they are comfortable with who their character is and what their goals are in the setting, so you are all prepped and ready for the first session. I prefer running grounded games where player agency is paramount, so you are certainly free to try anything. Things can get intense, decisions have consequences, and your actions can twist the course of the plot, for better or worse.
