Nikko doesn't fail to impress! I was a player in Nikko's Blades in the Dark campaign and joined around the beginning of season 2. Although the group had already done a lot, I didn't feel out of place at all. The table was warm and welcoming and before I even played, Nikko took the time to help me understand what the point in the story we were in and helped me to create a character. Nikko encourages players to be curious about the world, incorporate their backstories, and co-create, which helped make each session so exciting. 10/10 would play with Nikko again if given the chance.

I play in Collin's Blades in the Dark play-by-post game. Collin runs one of the best play-by-post games I have been in and he has figured out a way to do it well. I've enjoyed his writing and characterization as well and the mechanics have been altered to blend much better with this written format. As a player, I'm encouraged to build upon the world and it feels like a genuine collaborative experience with GM and players taking a fair part in it. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you're looking for a game that has an asynchronous flow.

I joined Toast's Blades in the Dark campaign at the start of "season 2." I deeply appreciated that before I even joined for game play, that Toast took some time with me for character creation and to fill me in a little bit about where the crew was at. From there, I was able to play my first game and test out the waters to see if it was the right fit for me and the current crew. Glad to say it was and that Toast ran a table that felt both inclusive, safe, and welcoming. I'm currently 5 games in to playing with Toast and I look forward to it weekly. Along with the attentiveness and care made towards players, Toast is also an incredibly creative and talented incorporating different voices that really helps build characters and the world. As a player, you'll be encouraged to bring in your own creativity and world ideas if you so choose. I would recommend Toast as a GM in a heartbeat. So come jump in and have some fun!

I was able to play in Mars' Blades in the Dark game. As a newbie to the system, I appreciated the time Mars took to guide me through the game so that I felt comfortable and welcome at the table. Mars brought great ideas to the table and also asked for player input including building around player wishes for in-game scenarios. Would definitely recommend Mars as a GM and would return as a player.

I'm currently in an ongoing play-by-post Monster of the Week game. This game has been going on for a while and so I was new to the group and I appreciated that Eryn took the time to answer whatever questions before being introduced to the group. Great for beginners and would definitely consider other games with this GM.
