About the adventure
----------------------------- "If something unexpected happens, he can improvise seamlessly and even elevate the story to new, deeper levels. From a storytelling perspective, he’s a genius." — Raul Ib ----------------------------- YOU ARE HEROES. For fourteen centuries, The Five have ruled Narthanor after overthrowing the Old Gods. Magic flows through every corner of this realm: Airships connect continents, Speaker Stations create worldwide communication networks, and most citizens can touch the Weave itself. But something is wrong. Mysterious doors appear overnight in city centers and remote wilds alike, refusing to open, revealing no origin. Then, one finally opened. A team of established heroes stepped through this door. The party of four is now deep within the different worlds behind new doors. They need a fifth hero to survive what comes next and uncover the truth. This is YOUR Narthanor. This is YOUR story. ----------------------------- "Every choice our party makes feels impactful. I always had the feeling that plot-points from all characters' backstories were taken into account and made part of the story." — Ryeera ----------------------------- --- WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE --- - VETERAN-LEVEL PLAY: Starting at level 11, you have the power, resources, and reputation to tackle threats that would crush lesser heroes. - FOCUSED MYSTERY & EXPLORATION: The party is currently delving into the Observatory of the Lost. The immediate goal is survival, exploration, and unraveling a deep mystery. How you approach these challenges is entirely up to your party's choices. - HIGH MAGIC: Narthanor is a realm where magic is commonplace. The air itself is infused with it. That's why every character gets some form of additional spell casting options. - ALL OPTIONS AVAILABLE: Every official species and class is playable. We'll work together to find where your character fits in this diverse world. - COLLABORATIVE WORLDBUILDING: While the framework is established, you'll help define the details that matter to YOUR character's story including your established reputation and past achievements. ----------------------------- "If you ever want to feel yourself and your character seen by a GM, play with Hermann! He is someone who has understood what it really means to play together." — Laurentius Siegfriedsson ----------------------------- --- PERFECT FOR PLAYERS WHO WANT --- - To play competent, established heroes with real influence - Agency and meaningful choices with world-shaking consequences - A living, breathing world that reacts to their actions Our group is already deep into the adventure. When you join, you will receive a free, 1-on-1 "Session 0.5" with me (and anyone of the party who wants and can join) to build your character and seamlessly integrate you into the current party inside the Observatory.

About me
One of my favorite things in the world is to experience stories. After over two decades of playing, running, and designing for TTRPGs, I finally decided to quit my software engineering career and do this full-time!

Creating your character
We have 4 players at the table. Once you book, you'll be invited to our private Discord server. You can immediately start chatting with the rest of the party to discuss how your level 11 hero fits into the team dynamic and how you might have ended up in the Observatory alongside them. Before you join the main table, we'll schedule a free "Session 0.5" call. During this time, we will: - Finalize your character's mechanical build - Establish your reputation and past exploits - Integrate your backstory into Narthanor's world and tie it to the current mission Starting Level: 11 - Stat Generation: We use the Heroic Array (17, 15, 13, 12, 10, 8). - Resources: All official content is available, plus Unearthed Arcana with approval. Homebrew ideas need to be checked and approved, but I'm pretty lenient, as long as it's balanced. Come with ideas, not finished sheets. We'll build your hero together!
What to expect

I'll share campaign access for any resources you need. That's it! Everything else happens in our Discord server and during our sessions.

How Hermann creates a safe table
Your safety and comfort are my top priorities. Here's how we'll maintain a welcoming table: Before your Session 0.5: - I'll send you a confidential Lines & Veils form to fill out privately. This covers content you want completely avoided (Lines) and content you're okay with existing in the world but don't want spotlighted (Veils) - All responses are kept confidential and will be respected without question or explanation required During your Session 0.5: - We'll review the table's established expectations and comfort levels (without requiring you to share private boundaries) - I'll explain our safety tools: X-Card (stop this content now), N-Card (no, let's not go there), O-Card (okay, this is getting intense, let's pause) - We'll establish how to use these tools in our digital format (quick Discord message or video signal) - We'll review the content rating for the campaign and the themes the group has decided to explore or avoid Throughout The Campaign: - Safety tools are always available—use them at any time, no questions asked - You can always message me privately if something comes up - We'll do brief check-ins at session start and end - If anything uncomfortable happens, we'll address it promptly and adjust course - Your Lines & Veils can be updated anytime. Just let me know After Difficult Sessions: - We'll do a brief debrief if the session was intense - I'm available for private follow-up conversations if needed This is a collaborative story. Everyone should feel respected, heard, and safe.
