About the adventure

This long-term campaign is designed to accommodate all types of players, offering a rich and immersive experience. As a paid game, it includes several exclusive benefits that set it apart from my free games. If you’re curious about these perks, feel free to ask for more details. The campaign is set in the Foreign Realms universe, a vast and ever-expanding astral sea where stories unfold across different regions of a single world and on multiple worlds. The starting point for your adventure will be determined during a Session 0 discussion, ensuring that the story is tailored to your group’s preferences. My approach blends fantasy with realism, leaning toward sci-fi elements while staying true to the core of fantasy, creating a deep and compelling narrative. My goal is to craft a unique and specialized story for you and your group, where the campaigns mix and blend together. What happens in one campaign can affect another, and vice versa, creating an overarching story that holds weight in the universe I’m building. With your collaboration, we can continue to expand and enrich this universe, making it a truly dynamic and evolving world.

About me

I’ve always enjoyed content creation, from making my characters backstories for games when I am a player, to creating worlds and stories as a GM(Or just for myself for fun). You can normally find me watching movies, listening to music or gaming to find inspiration in my next session.

Character creation

Creating your character

Once rules and the understanding of how things work at my table are established, character creation will begin. Stats Rolls will be done while players discuss what they would like to play. Stats are done as 2d6+6 (any 1's will be rolled once), each player rolls once while I roll additional times and an extra and everyone decides on the 6 they want as a group. You'll all share the same status rolls, but can place them wherever your characters need. Once stats are rolled and classes are set, species will be next. Each species and its subspecies are different to what they normally are in D&D 5e, and you'll be free to ask about them in more detail. You'll have access to any and all books to create your character. Using base classes is fine, but I am open to using Homebrew classes, as we'll be using Roll20, and we can create your character sheet there too. Be aware, though, I must approve the Homebrew, and if it seems too broken or OP, I will deny it. However, I am happy to help create something with you as well... this is a small sample of what happens in Session 0.

The current party

The world did not end in fire or fury, but in silence—when a creeping fog rolled across land and sea alike. It swallowed mountains, forests, kingdoms… everything. Those who survived did so not through strength, but through wit, courage, and desperation. They rose above the fog, literally building floating townships that drifted safely in the open sky. From these havens you came, one of the many called Skyborn: people who abandoned the ground because no safe ground remained. The sky became home, where magic and crafted ingenuity merged to keep entire landscapes suspended in the air. Mages shaped the arcane threads that suspend each platform, while artisans forged the beams, bridges, and foundations that bind the drifting fragments of civilization together. For a time, life in the clouds was good. Cities glimmered among the winds, farms flourished on reclaimed patches of earth, and hope held firm. But populations grew, food thinned, and supplies dwindled. It became clear that the skies could no longer sustain everyone forever. Many now call for action, urging brave souls to seek the truth of the fog and uncover a way to dispel it. Others wish only to survive one more sunrise. And you? You come from a modest sky–home, small and easily overlooked. But you are anything but insignificant. You have been offered a choice: remain where it is safe… or step beyond the edge of everything you’ve ever known to chase the truth hidden beneath the endless grey. The choice—and the future—now rests in your hands.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have a theme in mind, an idea or even just an image of something you want to base it off. Ever wanted to play a style of Ironman? Aragon? Geralt or even Bob Ross? This is the place to do it, we'll mould those themes into a class and race with an in-depth story to make it entertaining to play.

Safety

How David creates a safe table

During Session 0, a discussion will be had in regards to safety tools, more importantly, any issues players have can be dealt with here. Players can also message my directly about issues concerning the game and ask for help to find a solution if one appears they are unable to handle alone or with the other players.
