Elias does a good job at working with character, I think he excels at dealing with complexity and putting it into the world. For heavy roleplay campaigns, Elias is the ideal type of DM to guide you through the world. Elias is fun to play with and is good at handling banter at the table, creating a fun spirit both in game and above board. He handles players who don't know the rules with decency and moves the game at a reasonable speed. One of the things i enjoy about Elias is his "I'll give you a beat" moments that allow people to RP their characters.
Jen is a very standard DM. She is creative and comes up with interesting events and character to interact with. This being said, it is mostly a string of events that are no cohesively glued together. One moment you might be escaping a band of pirates, to immediately being shoved into a marriage. These are all interesting events, but they do not carry a story nor do any of these events really reflect on your character. This DM opts for more of a "railroading" style, that is she will stick to the script regardless of player choices, often framing situations as only one plausible solution, or narrating a bit where your character is forced to do something That is to say Jen is a great DM for new players, those not wanting to be too involved in their characters, and those who are just there for a story. However, I think players who wish to be more invested in their characters and their motives will find that the sessions are lacking in story cohesion and a general feel that your character is part of the story, rather than just a figure to trigger more pre-scripted plot points.
